The Strokes are the American answer to The Libertines.

Now do I think anybody is more creative? No. But what I will say is that I can listen to every track on Is This It (very rare for me) and I love them all...but songs like "The Delaney" or "Death on the stairs" have enough energy and power that they are an album to me. But regardless of who's "better", they're both equally influential and equally amazing in my opinion.
