  • This is real music... God I miss this!

  • anyone know what hes up to now

  • a great song i love it

  • The 80's were unreal! You had to be there to believe it. The music was uplifting, fun and brilliant. It was amazing to be a teen in Ireland at that time. 21st century music sucks.

  • @BIGINSF .....the 70's and 80's were fantastic ....todays youth dont know what they're missing ...

  • @BIGINSF Totally agree mate but from an Oz perspective.

Ah well, gone but not forgotten.

  • @BIGINSF

Totally agree! Although I was a teenager in Norway! :-)

  • @BIGINSF Too right man.....i'm 35 now still rocking out but those days were mental !!

  • @BIGINSF well said brother.

  • @BIGINSF Agreed , especially in england, its pathetic the wanabee english "artists" trying to be american and copy american hip hop , really badly , but it gets in charts here.

  • heard this on the radio today,I had forgotten all about this track,so would like to dedicate it to my ex-girlfriend! lol

  • now this is music not the shit they play today

  • I LOVE this song. It gives me such a lift!! I listen to it over and over again quite often. You can tell that he really enjoys performing this song too.

  • ill take the undertones over this anyday but it aint half bad for the time period- the mid to late 80s sucked- weller became a joke- the smiths split- the damned went stadium rock -ahhhh!

  • Man I miss the 80s!!! LOVE Fergal Sharkey!!! Thank you!!! :))

  • Fantastic song!

  • This song takes me back. What an ugly guy though!

  • the song has so much "angry" energy & vibes... yet they all dance and smile and have a good time....hrrmmm, everything ok here....its corrupting ur minds! Programming.

  • 4 people are deaf!! 80's music rocks!!!!!

  • feckin brill

  • I love this song and this video. It's so uplifting!! I'm also really amazed at how the 2 drummers play so identically to one another. A lot of thought and time went into this video and it's well worth it! I've listened to this particular song many times over the years and I'll be listening to it many times yet.

  • The eighties..., When they put some effort into a perfomance. The music was to make the fans feel good, not just to boost the performer's ego.

  • hard drivin honest vid loaded with talent that gave you something for your buck.i got a couple of his cds and every song is good

  • Very good song. 100% eighty. I love

  • Great song. Like his hits of the 80´s. But not as much as the Undertones.

  • Fantastic,wonder where he is now ? ......

  • @t9alize I know =D

  • che brividi....... una delle mie canzoni preferite di sempre.... <3<3<3

  • Having watched this vid about a 100 times since I came across it (thanks Ron) I spotted a canny resemblance between FS and Matthew Perry (Chandler from Friends).

  • @tombutleruk I cant imagine would be more insulted!!lol

  • @tombutleruk I cant imagine which one would be more insulted!!

  • This song is just SO good! ...shattered & b-leeding..<3 it!!

  • 1:53 - 1:55 gives me chills - SO GOOD!!

  • Thanks - I had the album on cassette and wore it out playing it in my car.

  • Searched for the vid to show the Mrs after she commented that FS only ever made one song (A good heart) !! We were watching Top Of The Pops Xmas Special from 1985 on Channel 5 the other night when they played A Good Heart when she made the comment.

Did you know..... that the reason Feargal was wearing shades in the video was not for a cool look but he sustained a black eye just days before they were to shoot the vid. Remember him saying so in an interview about the time the song was released.

  • @tombutleruk - this was Feargal Sharkey's second big hit after A Good Heart. He also has some hits in the UK with The Undertones, the band he was in.

I always remembered he had great hair and his pants were a tat too short in this video! Aaah bless him, I love both of those hits from the mid 80's :)

  • feargal made the videos 2 make the track much bigger

  • feargal made impact videos that made the song bigger still

  • whitelight786, it was only the xmas no.1 in 1985 ....... u genious, instead of u little theif , it should b ....U LITTLE CREEEP!!!!!

  • Doesn't get any better than this.

  • got two or three of jis alblums and not a bad song on one of them.I am a 60s hippie

  • those aholes on x-factor should look at this

  • @patdoyleable LOL! They should SOUND like this. ;)

  • @nightingale8005 What I was saying that in Feargal's youth which was my youth too, there were no X-factors, American Idols etc. These blokes played what they wanted, they weren't products. Nowadays mainstream is so well produced that noone really know if they can sing or play. I guess they don't have to do much more than just look "nice" mainly boring in my book. Lol!

  • Prefer this one to A Good Heart, this did not do quite so well in the charts though ,

  • Too funny! But I always loved this song.

  • Dig the energy

  • after years and years I always ADORE Feargal Sharkey's so special voice !!! miss him so much ...

  • Nice Feargal, you the man!!

  • such a true statement watchinu66

  • @MRMILO57 OH YEAH

  • one of the best songs of the 80's

  • One of my favourite all time songs and brings up great memories of the dance floors in the 80's.

  • Awesome! There was so much more genuine original creativity in the 80's. I haven't heard anything original or remotely interesting in years.

I listened to this a week ago and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since. I appreciate it more today than when I first heard it in the 80's. Thank God I had my best teenage years in the 80's and got to enjoy all the great music.

  • Amazing lyrics , takes my heart away...so true and so hard!!

  • Written By Mr Benmont Tench.

  • Dynamite song and video! I saw it once in 1984 and never forgot it. Great to see it again. The WACS on the stairs reminds me of the "Your Mother Should Know" video by the Beatles.

  • great drums

  • the eighties were so electric

  • What was wirh the pyramid and people walking up it? Reminded me of the computer game Lemmings a bit. Strange but love it.

  • @samabercrombie Reminds me of 'Around the world'- that weird 90's song. I don't get what it's meant to mean.

  • Please come back!

  • That was the beuaty of music in the 80's... So simplistic in their nature that they will endure the test of time. Makes music around today sound like a lot of hot air...

  • @watchinu66 Feargel, Brilliant, this video, was so much fun, so great, thank god, i was a child of the 80s

  • @watchinu66 AFUCKINGMAZING !

  • fantastic and years before its time. songs wrote back then had meaning and well written

  • oh c`mon, did you hear many songs of john ?

if u want to compare Feargals voice...what about Rod Steward ?

  • This song was written by Benmont Tench for Maria McKee.... ......and Maria McKee worte his hit A Good Heart for Benmont Tench!

  • there's no hard feelings, there's no feeling AT ALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
