oh my god. where are the good days gone? back in the days, not everybody sounds the same and not every black guy pretends to be a Gangster. just good music and dave stewarts stumping beats moved your feet.i want a time maschine!!!!!!
The 80's were unreal! You had to be there to believe it. The music was uplifting, fun and brilliant. It was amazing to be a teen in Ireland at that time. 21st century music sucks.
@BIGINSF Agreed , especially in england, its pathetic the wanabee english "artists" trying to be american and copy american hip hop , really badly , but it gets in charts here.
I LOVE this song. It gives me such a lift!! I listen to it over and over again quite often. You can tell that he really enjoys performing this song too.
ill take the undertones over this anyday but it aint half bad for the time period- the mid to late 80s sucked- weller became a joke- the smiths split- the damned went stadium rock -ahhhh!
the song has so much "angry" energy & vibes... yet they all dance and smile and have a good time....hrrmmm, everything ok here....its corrupting ur minds! Programming.
I love this song and this video. It's so uplifting!! I'm also really amazed at how the 2 drummers play so identically to one another. A lot of thought and time went into this video and it's well worth it! I've listened to this particular song many times over the years and I'll be listening to it many times yet.
Having watched this vid about a 100 times since I came across it (thanks Ron) I spotted a canny resemblance between FS and Matthew Perry (Chandler from Friends).
Searched for the vid to show the Mrs after she commented that FS only ever made one song (A good heart) !! We were watching Top Of The Pops Xmas Special from 1985 on Channel 5 the other night when they played A Good Heart when she made the comment.
Did you know..... that the reason Feargal was wearing shades in the video was not for a cool look but he sustained a black eye just days before they were to shoot the vid. Remember him saying so in an interview about the time the song was released.
@nightingale8005 What I was saying that in Feargal's youth which was my youth too, there were no X-factors, American Idols etc. These blokes played what they wanted, they weren't products. Nowadays mainstream is so well produced that noone really know if they can sing or play. I guess they don't have to do much more than just look "nice" mainly boring in my book. Lol!
Awesome! There was so much more genuine original creativity in the 80's. I haven't heard anything original or remotely interesting in years.
I listened to this a week ago and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since. I appreciate it more today than when I first heard it in the 80's. Thank God I had my best teenage years in the 80's and got to enjoy all the great music.
i'd forgotten about feargal until i heard 1 of his songs today, then remembered i had it on vinyl. Great time & a great era of songs back then, cheers
wow, just regressed nearly 25 years! love the two female drummers too, forgotten that. top song, great album too, still got it on tape somewhere. can totally hear eurythmics sound as it was produced by dave a stewart, so... perfect as a 'fuck-off-a-gram' (thanks to siouxsie for that expression!) cheers for posting!
Dynamite song and video! I saw it once in 1984 and never forgot it. Great to see it again. The WACS on the stairs reminds me of the "Your Mother Should Know" video by the Beatles.

@tombutleruk - this was Feargal Sharkey's second big hit after A Good Heart. He also has some hits in the UK with The Undertones, the band he was in.
