My favorite area of all this game, is probably the Parking Garage on 2nd island, because it is easier to avoid the cops in that area at times, if you're in the middle. those cops seem have hard time getting into 2nd level of parking garage. The 1st level of the garage usually have cop cars, and top 3rd level usually helicopters shoots you. Fun Times!

@seansco1 It is probably because this game is really designed for IPad2 and Iphone 4s, it wasn't going to be for older version of ipod touch or iPad. But they went ahead to release it anyways. The older ipod and phones have slower processors, meaning it wont be as good.

Looks pretty cool, and while I don't like Apple for numerous reasons, I feel Apple and Rockstar did a good job in how that in such a sma...thin package they've created a device that can play a 3D game...granted as Heresy said it's 10 years old, but its better than most console games you get now.

I just kinda wished they'd create more tablet ports for games like this for other systems and that the *shooting" controls were more refined :-(

It's an amazing port. Brings back memories.. I was 12 when this came out I can hardly believe it. Only bad point is getting in firefights the shooting controls are bad.. I mostly run people over instead of shooting. Other than that it's epic. Don't know why people are arguing. It came out on ps2 first.. Then came out on Xbox like 2 years later. And it was equally epic on both.. Slight better graphics on Xbox but so what!

DAMN i love gta, i am a hardcore fan! Got it for my iphone 4, and ipad 2! Runs superb on both, but screen is small on iphone 4, and it graphics are slightly better on the 4s. It looks amazing on the samsung galaxy note with the 5.3" screen though - perfect size! Might get a huge android phone in a year, instead of the iphone 5!

Can't wait for gta 5!

10 years old games ported to new plataforms could get tricky if not done right. And i dont mean just the controll translation. There is a thin line where you can add new modern stuff without messing with a classic. For instance, one of the things that i really liked in GTA 4 and that i dont know how i used to play without it, is the GPS funcion. Driving around Liberty City follwing a dot on the map, going in to the maze of streets wasnt the most fun of the game.

it crashes on mine when i press home/option or when going to save house, but not always,, and i can still save my game after crash then by pressing resume, then ill save it and it will not crash..

im on ipod touch 4g, i think this also on ipad 1,

@fartybumholes it controls pretty good. For me, it's a nostalgic throwback I'm glad I can enjoy on my iPad. It's working great. Controls took less than 20 minutes to perfect but of course it's not the same as using a controller. Part of the reason a 2001 game is on a 2011 tablet is for the 10 year anniversary. Not that hard to understand. I'm calling BS on your comment anyways, it's not hard to see you haven't tried it yet.
