"virile, fertile, scream when I cum!" Ha thats...eh...ha! I'd love to hang with carl and the gang but he'd probably try and shag me or sumthin. He's a bit overly fond of pete as pic shows. Seen them at the academy in dublin and he gave anthony a smacker on the lips at the end. But that said absolute legend!
what the fuck am i sayin.. iv still got a hangover. that message below was surposed to read.... yes i did spell his name wrong, before sum smart arrs makes a comment.
"Albion is our vessel, arcadia is our destination, and our starting point. one need'nt have a classical education or a british passport; only an imagination. let it be what your heart desires, but let not your actions or desires infringe upon the liberty of others." ----- (Pete Dohehety)
come on people u shud know all about the good ship albion if u r fans
My english is so poor so I can't understand the lyrics (unless I find them somewhere to read), but musically speaking I like Tired of England much more, I really like that song.
wow at the beginning i thought this song wouldnt be any good but it got better and better. nice. im deff going to buy the album, love that theyve changed their style a bit.
I know what you mean, but I think the reason they released Tired Of England as the first single of the new album is to show the change in sound to the people who wont necesarily rush out to buy the album....And then they would release something a bit faster pace like this as a second single.
I agree with what you're saying but I still don't think it's a good move. There are SO many songs on the album that are better than Tired of England. If they wanted to show that their sound was going to be different, they should have released Faultines, Plastic Hearts or Come Closer first.
By releasing Tired of England first, it's pretty obviously they're trying to cash in on some of the Libs fans who still hold onto the "albion" myth. Still, I doubt it was even their decision. I blame McGee.
albion myth? i'm not sure, but usually when they refer to albion its just england, as apparently albion is an old historical name for the country or something along those lines...
The Libs had their own brand of nationalism which a lot of fans latched onto. That's what I mean by "albion myth". "Albion" - in the Libs world - was all the great bits of old English culture thrown into what they called The Arcadian Dream. Arcadia = Utopia.
It was pretty garbled and I'm not even sure they understood what they were talking about, but regardless: The sentiment has held on with a lot of Libs fans.
It gave people a reason to start waving the flag again during Britpop Round 2.
Oh the love!
