  • "The Shadow of Your Smile" won an Academy Award as "Best Song of 1965". One of Johnny Mandel's best scores....

  • Ms. Taylor was never more eautiful as in this film. That uniquely spectacular face. Thanks for this post. Don;'t ever take it away. What a great acting talent she was, too.

  • i love this movie she looked gorgeous rip elizabeth

  • It's too bad we don't hear enough good that people do WHILE they're alive instead of waiting until they're gone to talk about it. Elizabeth Taylor was a class act, baby!

  • Elizabeth Taylor really lived. She got everything out of life. she squeezed every last drop out of it. never really been a fan before she died didnt know much about her but wow. what a human.

  • I just found this connection. Am I really the first to say Thank you and rest in peace? Incredible woman, especially when you think of what she went through and how many barriers she broke or smashed. If anyone tries to make of movie of a life that is definitely movie material, they won't be able to find a suitable lead.

  • Is that Liz's voice that starts at 2:56?

  • early birthday greetings to Ms Taylor.. may she be doing well and loved greatly by those around her. cheers!

  • Awful film.

  • If you liked Breakfast at Tiffnay's you'll love The Sandpiper. Taylor & Burtyon at their best!

  • Love this movie : ) Interesting trailer though: It seemed more like a synopsis of the film, rather than a preview of it.

  • Ummmmmmmmm Where's Charles Bronson?????????????

  • The Shadow of your smile when you are gone...

  • Evie Marie Saint is beautiful, but does't hold a candle to Elizabeth Taylor. I truly loved this movie. The theme music and scenes are relaxing.

  • Love that tune, "Shadow of Your Smile," but God is this movie a turkey. Burton's a married Episopal minister/school headmaster who virtually throws himself at free spirit Taylor. Endless cliches. The movie treats the two characters as if they're aliens from different star systems learning each other's "language." And poor Eva Marie Saint! So much more attractive, dignified and mature than nutcase Taylor, yet Burton figuratively throws her under a truck. Dig the song, but skip the movie.

  • i went to where it was shot once. so damned lovely.

  • can anyone plzzzzzz post the enitre movie? wud luv to see it

  • I want to see it again. Even tho the critics trashed the movie at time of its release, I still enjoy this movie. Yes, simply because of Dame EliabethTaylor and Richard Burton. Like Cleopatra, even with some bad dailouge these two are magicient actors. It was once up on youtube, on a wonderful channel dedicated to all things Dame Elizabeth Taylor that had tons of her movies. But, Youtube had the channel owner remove them. Now only clips here. Sadness. =\

  • Intense, profound (and campy too..) but :

A beautiful movie ! My favorite Liz Taylor's picture ! Another Dalton Trumbo's masterpiece

    *****

  • existential quagmire of life: spectacular movie

  • thanks ! Great film...

  • I love this movie. It's wonderful. :)

  • liz is the greateast star and the best actor ever to be on screen
