  • Bobby was so handsome back in the day!

  • Years ago, I played guitar on one of Bobby's albums. When he opened his mouth to sing, it hit me hard. I remembered hearing his unique voice from 3-6pm on WAMU when I was a teenager in VA. Working with Bobby was indeed a celestial experience.

  • A voice like Bobby's only comes around once in a lifetime...what a super-singer!

  • whooooyeahh!

  • I have to admit this generation doesn't know what good music sounds like in every field of music.

  • Nobody in my generation listens to this it's ashame wish we could be hearing the dick jockey say and here's a new one by the osbourne brothers but I hate to say it they were right Georgia mules and country boys are fadin fast away and it's sad now

  • Oh yeah baby tell me what the fuck are the new dudes doing they couldnt hold a candle to these boys and nothing only raw talent on show. Roll on muddy river

  • Notice that Sonny is playing his personal model VEGA banjo on this--and it sounds terrific...

  • @Pickinbuddy heck yeah, I'm a big fan of the Vegas. You just can't beat the certain tone that just rings out from them.

  • Sweet clothes!!! Way before MC Hammer stole there wardrobe and fashion sense in the 90's

  • the greatest!

  • WOOOO HOOOO!!! Roll muddy river!!!

  • really enjoyed this one....thank you.

  • about 1968

  • How old is Bobby in this recording? He looks in his prime.

  • This a family favorite. Bobby is my favorite mandolin player and what a beautiful tenor voice! Sonny is a whiz on that banjo. I love his special banjo roll he does on "Big Spike Hammer" and he's a great singer as well. You see the great way they knew how to dress!!!!

  • @CARROLLCTYDOBROGIRL I've always considered Bobby to be one of the best bluegrass singers of all time (my personal favorite is Dudley Connell), but I never really appreciated his mandolin pickin much. He can obviously play, but he was never very clear with his fretting. Even on the records you can hear a fair bit of buzz going on.

  • bluegrass is the best!

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!

  • pretty cool!

  • good god oh mighty people !

  • Roll on baby^^

  • Classic!!
