I like both the Vita and 3Ds. i like nintendo and Sony. i have a 3Ds and "hope," to buy a Vita the day it comes out. I also have Wii and PS3. i really love both companies, in some ways Nintendo is better, in some ways sony is better. i LOVE BOTH NINTENDO AND SONY

vita its full with port games why buy games that looks better in ur home console vita may have great graphics but I rather buy a mervel vs capcom 3 for my xbox tha a low res version of it in vita

@jimmyelgringito $250. We do need it now or else they shouldn't make it at all. Handhelds are failing. The Vita is the only thing that can ignite the flames back up again. Especially with things like BF3 being made on PC and looking phenomenal, the 3DS looks like crap compared to what we can do now. Graphics don't make a game alone but specs and hardware do and that is the Vita's forte. As long as battery life is at least 8 hours that should be well worth it.

its more like $280-400 depending on the memory card, and 3DS has decent graphics but the 3D is amazing in the right hands, and the battery life is 2-5 hours (3-5 with 3G) no matter what while the 3DS is 3-8 depending on settings. the vita just has graphics and DS technology, personally, i dont care unless its fun, i couldnt care less if it looks good or has the best of anything
@highlander5523 Dude its cost $249 and that is a fact (well, for the U.S at least). I got some news that the battery life is 5-8 hours. Lastly, IT ISN'T DS TECHNOLOGY for god's sake... Its called touch screen, the DS doesn't even really have that, you are supposed to use a stylus for it. The worst you could say about the Vita is that it is just a bunch of magnificent and completely ahead of its age hardware.
u forget the mandatory memory card lol, and its only 5-8 if u buy the $30 battery extender, and both use a touch screen, u CAN use ur finger but u will get marks on it, and the worst i can say is no casual gamer will want it
@highlander5523 You didn't understand my comment. I said you are supposed to use the stylus. You don't have to but it doesn't work well AT ALL without it. The memory card is also not mandatory i think. The 3DS isn't for anyone unless that they are hardcore fans of what Nintendo puts out because the 3DS was crap and even Nintendo knows that. They have been slacking. The DS was phenomenal, way better than the PSP. The 3DS is utter crap, nothing compared to the Vita.
well it works fairly well for me but whatever, if u want to play games or download anything, u will need the memory card, and the 3DS sales went up 260% since the price drop, the 3DS is selling very well, and so far it is for everyone, and i love the 3DS, its very comfortable and the 3DS is gorgeous when used right, i think its well worth the $170 and $250 price, the 3D in 1 level of OoT feels more real then anything on the PS3 or 360, and the sliders are far better then analogs.
@highlander5523 NOW it is for everyone that doesn't get tired of the same titles. Before it was definitely not worth it. Nintendo is still losing money though. The 3DS contributed to that and it might never be able to make up for it. If you mean the analog sticks for the 3DS are better then you must be out of your mind, they are mediocre at best. The 3D also bothers more than the PS3 and 360. Those are essentially facts.
well there are a LOT of games coming out this year and next, so titles are a problem, and yea it takes more money to build and distribute but they are making up for it with games, and i find the sliders more accurate, faster, and comfortable, personally, i hope they replace analogs, and it doesnt really bother me, i only use it in cutscenes or in dungeons (every once in a while)
@highlander5523 Well it is a fact that analogs are superior to sliders but sliders do work better for some DS catered games however, they would do poorly in anything else. The titles coming will still not be too different from before. Nintendo is WAY behind and is stuck in its 1980 days to realize that they need to start making contracts with modern developers. The Wii U is their only hope and that is becoming a reality.

@highlander5523 No. Microsoft does advertising just like ever company. They make commercials about people liking their stuff (Nintendo has always done this as well). However, they don't pay Activision and such to say "the 360 is the best" when it isn't. In fact, developers say which console is best determining on which decision benefits them. They pay for DLCs but not for high ratings. If the Wii competed with the PS3 and 360 then the Wii would be the thing holding them back.
MS really does pay u for production cost but they expect u to release the game on that day sometimes earlier (they are okay with small delays), an example is sonc 06 was going to be released in early 2007 but MS threaten to sue if sega didnt release it 2 months early, now a compete piece of shit is released. when u make a game for MS, they pay u, u release the game, the only pro is its easier to develop for, and they wii is advertised as just a gaming console, not a social or media
@highlander5523 That's because that is all the Wii is. Its online capabilities are on par of that of the PS2 which isn't good at all for this generation. They do advertise the 3DS as a social handheld as well as a gaming one because the 3DS does online gaming and social things in general better than the Wii but still not as good as it should be.
online can vary, i think monster hunter tri had amazing online because i never ran into a laggy person (or someone under 15 for that matter) and with a lan adapter, it creates zero lag, i used it for super smash bros brawl with randoms and i had minimal problems, online yes, but social, im not sure, i know they are getting rid of friend codes later on with this year or next (im pretty sure around the wii u launch)

sack boy and nathan drake are both from this gen, mario and the millions of nintendo mascots are all from the nes/ snes, and thats 20-30 years ago… cloud strife, snake, and crash arent sony exclusive 1st party mascots… why you might ask… because you can play as them on many many other platforms not just sony

Y'know how to get it the easier way? Get a fucking PS3. Because no one would get that overpriced hand held piece of shit besides the graphic whores out there that loooove eye candy graphics for their "Gaming pleasure". Half of their games are console games. Others are just PS3 exclusives, Boring. I only play uncharted in a console. One nasty drop and its $250 down the drain.
In my opinion between the PSP and DS, the PSP won. I don't give a shit about the sales. Do you think all of those systems are being played on a regular basis? No. The little kids who got them from there parents got bored with it and went to something else. Most consumers of the DS were parents buying a present for their kids. They thought that the PSP would be too difficult for them to handle. Which is probably true. But the battle looks close this time.
And just let's forget this small detail, the fact that the NDS have a great library with great games. Surely, one of the best (if not the best) libraries in a portable system of all time.

Please people, I'm not going to purchase this product on it's mere graphics capabilities. This system will offer so much more than the psp could ever hope to offer. @highlander5523 You didn't understand my comment. I said you are supposed to use the stylus. You don't have to but it doesn't work well AT ALL without it. The memory card is also not mandatory i think. The 3DS isn't for anyone unless that they are hardcore fans of what Nintendo puts out because the 3DS was crap and even Nintendo knows that. They have been slacking. The DS was phenomenal, way better than the PSP. The 3DS is utter crap, nothing compared to the Vita.

well it works fairly well for me but whatever, if u want to play games or download anything, u will need the memory card, and the 3DS sales went up 260% since the price drop, the 3DS is selling very well, and so far it is for everyone, and i love the 3DS, its very comfortable and the 3DS is gorgeous when used right, i think its well worth the $170 and $250 price, the 3D in 1 level of OoT feels more real then anything on the PS3 or 360, and the sliders are far better then analogs.

@highlander5523 NOW it is for everyone that doesn't get tired of the same titles. Before it was definitely not worth it. Nintendo is still losing money though. The 3DS contributed to that and it might never be able to make up for it. If you mean the analog sticks for the 3DS are better then you must be out of your mind, they are mediocre at best. The 3D also bothers more than the PS3 and 360. Those are essentially facts.

well there are a LOT of games coming out this year and next, so titles are a problem, and yea it takes more money to build and distribute but they are making up for it with games, and i find the sliders more accurate, faster, and comfortable, personally, i hope they replace analogs, and it doesnt really bother me, i only use it in cutscenes or in dungeons (every once in a while)

@highlander5523 Well it is a fact that analogs are superior to sliders but sliders do work better for some DS catered games however, they would do poorly in anything else. The titles coming will still not be too different from before. Nintendo is WAY behind and is stuck in its 1980 days to realize that they need to start making contracts with modern developers. The Wii U is their only hope and that is becoming a reality.

@highlander5523 No. Microsoft does advertising just like ever company. They make commercials about people liking their stuff (Nintendo has always done this as well). However, they don't pay Activision and such to say "the 360 is the best" when it isn't. In fact, developers say which console is best determining on which decision benefits them. They pay for DLCs but not for high ratings. If the Wii competed with the PS3 and 360 then the Wii would be the thing holding them back.

MS really does pay u for production cost but they expect u to release the game on that day sometimes earlier (they are okay with small delays), an example is sonc 06 was going to be released in early 2007 but MS threaten to sue if sega didnt release it 2 months early, now a compete piece of shit is released. when u make a game for MS, they pay u, u release the game, the only pro is its easier to develop for, and they wii is advertised as just a gaming console, not a social or media

@highlander5523 That's because that is all the Wii is. Its online capabilities are on par of that of the PS2 which isn't good at all for this generation. They do advertise the 3DS as a social handheld as well as a gaming one because the 3DS does online gaming and social things in general better than the Wii but still not as good as it should be.

online can vary, i think monster hunter tri had amazing online because i never ran into a laggy person (or someone under 15 for that matter) and with a lan adapter, it creates zero lag, i used it for super smash bros brawl with randoms and i had minimal problems, online yes, but social, im not sure, i know they are getting rid of friend codes later on with this year or next (im pretty sure around the wii u launch)

@unknownegri That hasn't been proven, it was just rumored. In fact, most developers have come out and said that they love working with the Wii U dev kit. Yesterday cryteck said that it's a great system to develop for with really nice specs. Also, any problem could be fixed by the time it comes out. ;)

In my opinion between the PSP and DS, the PSP won. I don't give a shit about the sales. Do you think all of those systems are being played on a regular basis? No. The little kids who got them from there parents got bored with it and went to something else. Most consumers of the DS were parents buying a present for their kids. They thought that the PSP would be too difficult for them to handle. Which is probably true. But the battle looks close this time.

Dear nintendo, the only way to get bak up in sales are to get better games, make another model with the other circle pad (cuz let's face it, the expansion looks meh) and make the system not look like a prototype and make it smoother. Please people, I'm not going to purchase this product on it's mere graphics capabilities. This system will offer so much more than the psp could ever hope to offer. The psp had great graphics at the time, and that's what everyone was hyped for, the only thing it "was" lacking is games. The Psvita has games, many games, 3ds will be losing for now. @CatcherP57 but i per sonally never liked nintendo i started with the gamecube my first console ever and then ive bought them all and never liked any of them so i got an xbox 360 and that was a joke then i got a ps3 and i got a psp and psp go and loved them all since

@SphireUK metal gear and the old final fantasies were original on the snes, nes, and sega saturn… not the ps1… learn gaming history… to say metal gear and final fantasy are exclusive ip’s is sorta wrong… is that why snake was in brawl? why snakes is in snake eater on the 3ds? why snake is on the mgs collection for the xbox? why is final fantasy on the Snes, Gamecube, and Xbox? youre listing 3rd party games i want 1st party exclusives! i want classics not games form this gen!
