  • i plan on buying a reasonably priced uke but dont know any good brands. i dont want to buy anything serious, id like to buy a nice uke i can practice on until i figure out if i want to be serious on the uke or not. Ive heard that mahalo has some uke's, any opinions on those or which brands you recommend ?

  • kiaora, thanx for that, you make a great teacher lol are you able to play Brother Loves "roimata" by anychance

  • Mahalo!

  • My body is ready

  • Thank you! I was trying to bar the top three strings with my ring finger on the E-chord. Your way is much easier!

  • thanks for a great vid. i got one question though. i got a pretty standard small uke (not that many frats), and my fingers are kind of big, is there an easier alternative way to play the e chord? thanks in advance

  • I can't seem to get mine in tune. :/

  • I AGREE!!!

  • Aloha! :D

I juts got my Uke Today ^^ Its bright Yellow! :D

  • Cool!!

  • Interesting.

On classical guitar you're taught to always spell chords from the lowest string up.

  • Yeah, that's actually the right way.

  • I think you could definitely argue both ways. I've been watching a lot of these 'up close ukulele' videos and a lot of really great players seem to do it both ways.

  • I agree with 100% on that!!

  • well thanks dude, we do have some ukuleele lessons at school. And this lets me be on top of it all most of the time :p

  • Glad to be of help!!

  • Thanks bro! What would you recommend for a beginner? I'm looking for a concert size uke in the 50 to 100 dollar range. I was looking at the lanikai LU-21C. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Thanks for sharing this. You make it easy to understand.

  • Thanks and I'm glad it's of help to you!!

  • what kind of uke is this?

  • It's a custom cutaway tenor G String ukulele.

  • huh, cool. i didnt know tenors used the same GCEA tuning. Thank you. Great videos by the way.

  • thanks, im looking to getting a baritone so yeah

  • Cool! No problem!!

  • oh okay, well then how big is a baritone?

  • It's one size bigger then the tenor and tuned just like a guitar....the guitars last four strings. The sound is fuller and more bassy. Kinda sounds like a folk guitar with nylon strings.

    Hope this helps!!

    Aloha!

  • is that a baritone?

  • It's a tenor ukulele.
