i plan on buying a reasonably priced uke but dont know any good brands. i dont want to buy anything serious, id like to buy a nice uke i can practice on until i figure out if i want to be serious on the uke or not. Ive heard that mahalo has some uke's, any opinions on those or which brands you recommend ?
thanks for a great vid. i got one question though. i got a pretty standard small uke (not that many frats), and my fingers are kind of big, is there an easier alternative way to play the e chord? thanks in advance
Thats exactly waht im doing man, i met a guy with a uke on a backcountry trail once, with a fire and fresh fish aside the uke really made the night, now i think its my turn to spread that magic to the next person, such is the spirit of travel...
great video. i need an advice... i'm a guitar player (acoustic) i play everyday, but i travel a lot and i'm not able to take my guitar with me everytime. so i'm thinking buying a ukelele, is it a good idea ???
I think you could definitely argue both ways. I've been watching a lot of these 'up close ukulele' videos and a lot of really great players seem to do it both ways.
Thanks bro! What would you recommend for a beginner? I'm looking for a concert size uke in the 50 to 100 dollar range. I was looking at the lanikai LU-21C. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It's one size bigger then the tenor and tuned just like a guitar....the guitars last four strings. The sound is fuller and more bassy. Kinda sounds like a folk guitar with nylon strings.
Hey thanks a lot man! I just got a ukelele for Christmas and i've been a guitarist for 8 years! haha it was a bit intimidating at first but your video helped a lot! Now it's time to learn five foot two eyes of blue!
well im saying theres diferent types of ukulele's arent there? i mean mines a cheap plastic string ukulele but it still shouldnt be out of tune as bad as it is.
mine doesnt sound like yours also i dunno how you do D.. sounds totally different

Interesting.
On classical guitar you're taught to always spell chords from the lowest string up.

Yeah, that's actually the right way.
