What are the name of the disks that you use to slide with your pushups? I think you're from Australia. I'm from the U.S.A., so please give me the company name and product name if you can. Thank you very much
@geniedude34 as far as i see you re doing well! always eat more, eat clean, as much as you can, workout with all your soul on it, don't do taxing exercises on your back yet, do light plyos, core and a lot of anerobic endurance
condition your muscles now that you are younger so when you get to hs you can do the heavy explosive exercises without injouring yourself! don't do workouts half assed, never! sleep a lot and be positive on what you do! always 100% nothing more we can say from here to help
Excuse my language but you guys are fucking awesome. Aside from the martial arts, how long does it take to be that fit if you were me weighing 280 pounds?
@geniedude34 Focus on skills. Master the basics but never stop practicing them. Being bigger and stronger might help you with getting on the team when you are younger, but being skilled will help you with getting on the team when you are older.
(For when you are older) stay away from drugs, alcohol, smoking. You may be able to perform well and sometimes use them, but your performance will be affected. Also, work towards your dream. Listen to yourself first, people will tell you you can't do it.
@geniedude34 Hey mate, it sounds like you are already doing very well for yourself! Just keep doing what you're doing but don't underestimate the importance of recovery time. Some professional coaching/training would also be very helpful to you but this is not something I can offer via youtube chat.
@geniedude34 dont try too hard at ur age all i can say..ur guna grow a lot more. work on ur speed running. pushups like these guys maybe pullups. your really young let your body grow first thats how you get stronger and bigger.
This video is not an actual program... just a compilation. But you can safely train this way 3 times a week. And you can fill in the extra days of the week with cardio or the less intense stability training also seen in this video.
If you are doing this style of high intensity full body training more than three times per week, it's almost certain that you won't be getting sufficient recovery time. Even though your muscles may not get major soreness, your central nervous system will need some good down time in between workouts to maximize strength and power gains.
@HumanMetamorphosis great workout, but some of these are too stupidlu difficult and dangerous... but you are beastly!!! i want to become as explosive, but if i try this in my gym the most probable thing is that they will kick me out XD nah, kidding but im gonna do it anyways (well not ALL thosethings like cleaning a 40 kgs dumbbell one handed over two 5ft steps) most of the practical ones to compliment my explosive training PROPS TO YOU
awesome work out, i have stolen excerpts of this workout and incorporated into mine for rugby - except for the flips etc... this ain't for beginners, but when ur confident enough to execute some of them, your strength will skyrocket and u won't gain that much bulk...
Speed multiplies the forces to the body which precipitates more injuries. And I get to treat them and try to put them back together. Happy you enjoy it. I could never recommend it. Would be malpractice.
Physio? You make a good point which is very valid to anyone who neglects the less exciting but most important and foundational aspects of fitness development.... stability and mobility. The injuries you deal with are not caused by speed of contraction. They are caused by lack of joint stability and mobility, or by heavy impacts. We have been training this way for many many injury free years now, because we place great importance upon developing structural integrity.
Great Zac. I figured you folks were pretty successful with it and likely low injury. As we put info like videos out, people begin to think this is the thing to do(as you demo). My actual intent was for readers, as most people doing something don't take criticism well, even constructive. Those trying to duplicate your video need what you just said. That helps me understand.. Like Parkour, trying it without the time and effort is dangerous. Thanks for the straightening out and much success.
Obviously the athletes in this video are very fit, regardless of how poor their form can get at times, which is what can lead to injury. This is usually caused by overcompensation of certain muscles because of poor form and/or weaker opposing muscles. Either way, the punching in one of these videos was laughable the form was so bad, but as long as you can remain injury free and maintain the high level of fitness you obviously have, then great!
insane!! love it! some crazy moves that i would never have thought of! as an up n coming personal trainer just want to say thanks for the inspiration!!! cant wait to try some of this out!
What the fuck did I just watch? No seriously, what the fuck did my eyes just see? This has pretty much killed my dreams of getting back into shape with my miniscule and feeble little workouts. Lol. But seriously, awesome workouts. Keep it up!
What if i want to train to have immense physical strength like u guys but without bulking up what shud i do? less reps or less sets or more heavy loads.Read alot of confliction informations from the internet tt's why nt very sure. o.o what kind of exercises shud i adopt to produce that desired result?
Wow! those are some seriously intense exercises/movements! I'll have to give some of those (the easier ones!) a try. Thanks for the ideas, and keep up the good work. And who the hell are the 25 who "disliked" this???
We primarily use full body, dynamic exercises like what you see in this video, rather than traditional isolation exercises and split body part routines. The result is great strength without excessive and cumbersome bulk.
Wowww! this is amazing. All the people hating on explosive power and how it's not useful or whatnot obviously are not athletes. Power comes from explosiveness. You guys have perfect balanced bodies too. But one question! did you start doing this workout from scratch or do you have a physical training background?
Very impressive. Obviously, you would have to be a gymnast to do some of those movements, but I can definitely incorporate some of the things into my workouts. Thanks for the ideas!!
great workout, i have taken a lot of ideas from this video and put it in my workout for rugby. i think what some of the negative people are getting at is that this is not for beginners and i agree with that. getting to that level takes years of training accompanied by a flawless diet and favourable genes. you will not powerclean 150kgs and do explosive pull ups overnight with a fast food and beer diet, it takes time and commitment. keep up the great work.
Thanks to your videos I can do layouts on a pullup bar and handstands on a medicine ball!!! YOU are my inspiration and now I am inspiring others that see me!!!
hm, everyone should do the training (s)he wants to. I couldn't specifiy/bind/commit on one type of training. I like this explosive Training very much, but also the slow and concentrated way of training.
ok, but what all this for? can u see any of these guys competing somewhere? why to do so much when you wont be using all this energy... unless you really like to get moving!!
@HumanMetamorphosis i love this video! some people focus on just strength maybe most of my football team. speed exercises are crucial to lowerbody, plyometrics, explosive fast movements while working on stregth.
THIS IS TRAINING, i want to be able to train like you lot, and i wish my body to weigh 12- 15 stone, (167-210 pounds), (77KG-95KG), what is you body weight if you dont mind me asking, going to you'r site to see what kind of info you got on it (biginers, intermidiate, advanced, food, supplements, e.t.c., e.t.c.).
@HumanMetamorphosis I play football, and would like to get more explosive. Would you suggest lifting less that i normally would to gain explosion then work my way up?
@cew1965 You idiot, fighters and other athletes that need a high anaerobic capacity, endurance, strength, and explosiveness should all be doing this kind of training. I actually use very similar training methods for boxing and MMA conditioning.
@ultradevon04 mma and boxing are skills that should be practiced (grappling, strking etc) not performing pointless so called functional training moves which carry dangerous risks. This so called training has nothing to do with the world of martial arts, it has just been brain washed and conditioned into the masses who believe what there told. You should look up David Landau's exercise fraud.
@DackDavenport Ok I will admit some of the stuff in the this video is pretty useless in a general sense and you could develop the same strength in a different way that is safer. On the other hand, high intensity interval training, explosive power lifting & plyometrics, and lifting heavy weights will complement any martial artist conditioning very well. A lot of the stuff in the video would fall into the types of training i just mentioned.
Respond to this video... Also I looked up David Landau's exercise fraud and I didn't find it to be very insightful. Anyone who has studied exercise science will know that a lot of the stuff that is reinforced in the exercise industry is complete BS ie( ab machines, fad diets, aerobic routines, supplements ect). I know from experience and research what kind of training methods work well for my athletic purposes. I didn't find to much scientific support on that guys website either. . . .
You sir are an uneducated fool! You should upload your video demonstrating how to inject sus250 into the right vein while pumping 2 reps of rediculous weight.
holy sht!! at 0:00 i was eating bread, at 2:20 i was eating toast. the music is so awesome for this. makes it old school. oh and i like the part where you work out
should put a disclaimer to tell beginners not to try most of this stuff as a lot of it is extremely dangerous lol. i am pretty advanced when it comes to athletic training myself (i weigh about 230 pounds and can do a standing back flip, power clean about 300 pounds, do all sorts of crazy push ups, etc.), but you wouldn't catch me trying to jump down from a box to the floor in a hand stand any time soon haha. i'd be scared to break my neck. props, this is pretty damn amazing.
Does anyone remember the movie "GymKata"? When gymnastics meets karate.
This should be called "GymDouche".

If you are doing this style of high intensity full body training more than three times per week, it's almost certain that you won't be getting sufficient recovery time. Even though your muscles may not get major soreness, your central nervous system will need some good down time in between workouts to maximize strength and power gains.

What do you guys train for? Your training is so rigorous. I need someone to train me like that. Your explosion is off the charts.

@HumanMetamorphosis i love this video! some people focus on just strength maybe most of my football team. speed exercises are crucial to lowerbody, plyometrics, explosive fast movements while working on stregth.

@lvdjn Does a man really need to compete in something to feel good about his training ?

@HumanMetamorphosis I play football, and would like to get more explosive. Would you suggest lifting less that i normally would to gain explosion then work my way up?

@cew1965 you need explosive power for combat sports like MMA
ozelot92k 7 months ago
@cew1965 You idiot, fighters and other athletes that need a high anaerobic capacity, endurance, strength, and explosiveness should all be doing this kind of training. I actually use very similar training methods for boxing and MMA conditioning.
ultradevon04 6 months ago
@ultradevon04 mma and boxing are skills that should be practiced (grappling, strking etc) not performing pointless so called functional training moves which carry dangerous risks. This so called training has nothing to do with the world of martial arts, it has just been brain washed and conditioned into the masses who believe what there told. You should look up David Landau's exercise fraud.
DackDavenport 6 months ago
@DackDavenport Ok I will admit some of the stuff in the this video is pretty useless in a general sense and you could develop the same strength in a different way that is safer. On the other hand, high intensity interval training, explosive power lifting & plyometrics, and lifting heavy weights will complement any martial artist conditioning very well. A lot of the stuff in the video would fall into the types of training i just mentioned.
ultradevon04 5 months ago
Respond to this video... Also I looked up David Landau's exercise fraud and I didn't find it to be very insightful. Anyone who has studied exercise science will know that a lot of the stuff that is reinforced in the exercise industry is complete BS ie( ab machines, fad diets, aerobic routines, supplements ect). I know from experience and research what kind of training methods work well for my athletic purposes. I didn't find to much scientific support on that guys website either. . . .

You sir are an uneducated fool! You should upload your video demonstrating how to inject sus250 into the right vein while pumping 2 reps of rediculous weight.

should put a disclaimer to tell beginners not to try most of this stuff as a lot of it is extremely dangerous lol. i am pretty advanced when it comes to athletic training myself (i weigh about 230 pounds and can do a standing back flip, power clean about 300 pounds, do all sorts of crazy push ups, etc.), but you wouldn't catch me trying to jump down from a box to the floor in a hand stand any time soon haha. i'd be scared to break my neck. props, this is pretty damn amazing.
