I guess you wanted the dramatic opening and closing showed off by the copper colored object. I was thinking if the arms were clear, the viewer could see your beautiful art also.
@PaperPopUpsPetrina Thanks for your comments. Not exactly sure what you mean by "stacked plastic." But, the iris blades could be made of most anything, I suppose.
It not til you start winding the handle that the parts come to life... I really like the way the center legs pivot to hide & show the center design - 5*
