“The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation”–Barack Obama 2007
I think it's cuz fucking Bush was taking all the money for himself. The american people didn't got anything good for the money. The situation just got worse. The mid. east wars is just pure suicide for the soldiers. Now we also have to thank USA for the fucking financial crisis. Fuck Bush junior & senior cuz they have fucked the world we live in today. Let these motherfuckers burn in hell!!
I refuse that Kucinich would allow himself to be associated with such an eronious statement. Only the most ignorant people believe the "blood for oil" lie.
No blood for oil! Oh wait, Iraq has over 112 billion barrels of oil and 110 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. We get less than 5% of our oil from Iraq. We also pay for it. No blood for oil!
People will wake up very soon and realize that this whole blood for oil thing is just more leftist BS, but there will always be some narrow minded ignorant people that will believe it, and they will even call themselves "progressive" lol.
This isn't about polarizing political parties. This is about right and wrong, and our moral decency. Our image to the rest of the world. Obviously you have not done your research, my friend. You have the audacity to claim that all of this is a lie yet the only supporting "evidence" you give is that it's "leftist" bullshit and people are stupid to believe it. Let's hear some proof that we're not in Iraq for oil. We've got plenty of proof that we are. Care to share yours?
You say that I have not done my research? Yet you want me to do yours for you. Here is a task. Look up the maximum percentage of US oil imports in any year EVER that came from Iraq. You will find very few years over 1%, and zero over 2%. YOU SHOULD STOP LYING.
What was Dubya...the purest expresion of cristofascism.
I don't mean this as a kneejerk response. Think for a moment...
If you sell out the future of 300,000,000 Americans, their children and grandchildren reduced to a life of multigeneraltional servitude for the benefit of a few individuals, what would you call that ?
I think oligarchy is too nice of a name for these bastards. Revolution is inevitable. And it will happen when we least expect it.
They should add one were it shows your tax dollars spent on Obama's ludicrous and idiotic spending idea: $3,000,000,000,000.
Ha the best part is you faggot liberals protest "Blood for Oil" even though we aren't in Iraq for oil. Then you get in your car that uses GASOLINE and drive to your home that is probably heated by fossil fuels. Wow you people are incredibly stupid. Fucking hypocrites.
Please point out where the contradictions are. There aren't any. I also enjoy your racial profiling. Assuming someone who opposes liberal extremist agenda is a conservative redneck. I'm a middle class white dude who lives in the Northwest.
I didn't vote for "dubya" and I don't consider myself a conservative. I just can't stand hypocrites and self proclaimed intellectual elites such as yourself. You make Americans look like snobby clueless fools, which I'm sorry to say is true in some cases.
How can america have leaders that have dodge war when it was their time in correct age, and now when they are 50-65 years of age, they shall invade the hole world.. but send poor american people to make their profit.. get rid of those leaders.. Jesse Ventura for President 2012
wow , what a powerful statement. you see these a lot now, so why wont america wake up? you idiots already got rid of every good candidate you had for presadent. fucking morons deserve all your stupid wars and the deaths they bring you. wake up. canada is following you down this pitiful road. wake up canada
When a large world power invades a sovereign country in order to control the flow of oil, well, that's the sort of storyline that normally brings hundreds of thousands of protesters to the streets chanting "No Blood for Oil."
But will we be seeying the masses of the world rise up and condemn Russia for its naked aggression against its smaller neighbor, Georgia? I'll be waiting, but I won't be holding my breath.
The higher the cost of a barrel of oil the more proffit American companies make from the sale of said oil barrel. The US has oil (and its running out) if the world wide cost of oil goes up then US oil will go up to.
Basically you are saying that higher prices = higher profit.
Have you ever heard about the law of supply and demand? The thing they teach to junior high school students ?
AND, if high oil prices were their goal from the beginning, why did they take the least thinkable approach, by sending troops to Iraq? Wouldn't it be easier if they'd just picked up their phone and told their secretary to rise the prices?
This illegal war is about more than, but is mainly about the control of this region with oil reserves under ground.
DICK Cheney and the other Rockefeller goons are after the region, that is why they have been busily building military bases there - that is why he is after Iran, then Syria next.
#1 issue is control, #2 is oil, #3 is making poor lil' Israel feel more 'secure'.
(I guess THEIR Dimona nukes aren't doing the job.)
#1, has America EVER left without atleast one base immediately after an armed conflict? It's called security treaties. America still has bases in Taiwan, Japan, Guadalcanal, Germany, so forth.
#2, OIL has little to do w/ the Iraq war itself. If you believe so you are dearly misinformed.
#3, Vote for McCain, Obama WILL NOT, pull troops out within his 9 or 18 months deadline whichever. We will ALWAYS have a presence there, even he has admitted to that, do some research.
A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand
The motivations are made obvious to see when we see Bush and Brown side by side with the Saudi Arabian dictator, at the same time that they condemn Iran and people like Saddam.
At the same time that the Bush adminstration OKs a deal to sell over 100,000,000 worth of military hardware to the Saudi Arabian dictatorship, they maintain economic sanctions on Cuba, a country which has a massive voter turn out and grass roots democracy.
There are atleast 10 other dictators world wide... Why attack saddam why pick him out? The US is responsible for more deaths than Saddam. Idiot the U.S.sacntions KILLED MILLIONS OF IRAQIS you fucking moron. Learn your history.
Ye, the old Saddam myth, business partner turned sour is what he was. Typical U.S. foreign policy. Get out of line and we bring in our military WMD to claim that which doesn't belong to us. Democracy my ass. That word today has been so abused and misused that it should be stricken from the vocabulary. The invasion/occupation has ALWAYS been for exploitation and plunder. It's the reason 9/11 happened.
Do you idiots really believe the war in Iraq was about oil? If it was, we'd have just done a deal with Saddam like the French did - and why they were against the war.
Because why make a deal.. When you can control all the oil with no real price to pay. On top of that the Military business rake in mad money. So all the neocons win, and they also want bases in Iraq and Afghanistan for future conflict with Iran. Moron.
First off, it's a 33-sec political ad. It's bound to be "simplistic." But you make a number of claims that require more info for me to believe them. Has "violence slowed," really, or is it just better than the extremes of a few months ago? If anything, it looks like the last 2 months have been back to 2003 levels, which doesn't mean that things are lessening in the long run, or even great now: icasualties(dot)org/oif/
I'm not sure what's "democratic" about an undeclared war based on lies (repeated changes of reasons for war, etc.), or running a country over and above its people for years, or having US companies rob billions from taxpayers. Or having private - never mind military - security forces kill Iraqis w/o provocation (e.g. Blackwater). Or having 73k (IBC) to 700k (Lancet) to 1m+ (ORB) civilian deaths, even when we're talking about civil war.
Right on! The Bush Oligarchy has no business shoving democracy down the throats of anyone, water-boarding or the barrel of a gun. Who the hell made him the god-king-policeman? Someone needs to disarm this lunatic and his spook association. But, who can make war against the Beast?
America is not the world police. It doesn't give us justification to just raid a nation because they live bad. If that were the case then why aren't we raiding Africa? I mean Darfur got a serious problem going on there why don't we just use brute force instead of Diplomacy?
this is such a simplistic and mindless way of looking at the iraq war. liberals always sum it up to being a waste of money with no outcome but death and lost tax dollars, but we are in fact winning over there, violence has slowed down, and the government is starting to stabilize. who said democracy doesn't work?
How is invading a sovereign nation democracy? Hussein had no ties to 9/11 nor did he have weapons of mass destruction so ..... um why are we there? I'd call that wasting money and cutting lives short for no reason.
What makes you think that Iraq was able to get a nuke or have the ability to lauch it at New York???? No one has found evidence of this and even the Bush administration, who most adamately claimed Iraq was developing WMDs has said they were wrong. The threat was constructed and false. Plus, we should solve the reasons why anyone would want to bomb us, not just that they have a weapon to do so. That approach doesn't change their mentality. And NO they dont hate us just b/c we are free!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Iraq was building a nuclear plant and the Isralies bombed it. Iraq could just buy it from North Korea. We can't solve Muslems wanting to concor the world. The war on terror started 1400 years ago with the birth of Mohomad.
Well Xtians could be considered to want to conquer the world just as much. What about all of those forced conversions in colonial times? Where did you hear that Iraq was building a nuke plant? Also, Iraq had strict reparations placed on its government. It couldn't just make large purchases from other countries. Perhaps on the black market, but unlikely. Even Bush has admitted there was NOTHING! Muslims do NOT want to conquer the world by the way, read the Quran.
Howdy my friend. Iraq invaded Iran and had an 8 year war that killed about 1 million people. Durring that war Iraq was building a nuclear reactor and Israel bombed it. It was in the news recently that the UN weopons inspectors left Iraq left Iraq because they weren't being alowed to inspect weapon plants. The Quran says Muslems must educate non believers about Islam, convert them or make them pay a special tax or kill them. It is in the Quran. You can research it on the internet.
I know of the Iraq-Iran war, but that was a while ago and if Israel bombed the nuke reactor what was still there to develop? Even if there was remnants, or just the desire to rebuild, what evidence was there of this happening? The UN inspectors were also leaving Iraq because the US was ready to go to war before they were finished. And the Quran, that's a dangerous interpretation. Actually elements of the Bible have been translated the same way. It does not make it true.
There is a strategy that can totally destroy the neo-con world conquest agenda. It should not be Kucinich or Ron Paul it should be Kucinch and Ron Paul. But how do you do that when they are on opposing political parties and opposing political viewpoints. Kucinich is a Socialist (which is ok) and Ron Paul is a libertarian (less government the better). Quite frankly I could live with ether.
What's important to me is having a man in the white house that is not a prostitute to the Neo-Con Zionnazis, who are planning war with Iran and World War Three.
Without going into a long dissertation. We must do all in our power to put these two men into the spotlight and exclude the rest of the compromising ass-kissers. The best way this can be accomplished is by organizing Ron Paul / Dennis Kucinich debates to take place at the primaries in the state where they take place.
If the state controlled media CNN/FOX does not cover these debates, they will still make there way to YouTube and Google, something the Zionnazis didn't plan for. The most important thing we must all try as hard as we can to accomplish is to convince these two just men to commit to each other, that who ever becomes president will pick the other as vice president. Can an extreme right-winger join forces with an extreme left-winger? In this rare instance I think it is possible.
In America everything used to be possible before "they" shot Kennedy. We were able to put men on the moon! We should not be so paralyzed as a nation to not be able to put a Republican and a Democrat into the Whitehouse at the same time! America we can do what ever we want!
If we want our country back from the "masters of deception" we must be bold in our thinking and approach! Kucinch/Paul or Paul/Kucinich I don't care which comes before the other as long as they are together. The Republican and Democratic parties both have screwed us, now it's time to screw them! Wake up America, no wars for oil or Israel!
No one denies we rely on oil a lot right now, but continuing to rely on it is very ignorant.
Humans exist because of change. Our need for oil is subject to change as well whether you like it or not.
We need more reliable and healthier sources of energy. As new technologies for energy are developed, energy will only continue to be cheaper while oil will only become more expensive (costing money and lives).
The sooner we start changing, the sooner we will see the benefits.
NEW HAMPSHIRE DEMOCRATIC DEBATE SEPT 26, 2007 part 14 Dennis Kucinich, BLEW THEM AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Gas tax NO!" "02.23.2003: Iraq is about OIL" "Let's have a President who was right about, Iraq!" "Was right about the Patriot Act!" "For a Not for Profit Health Care System!" "OR YOU CAN HAVE A PRESIDENT WHO's TALL" (!) (LOL!!!!! - (He had them all laughing!)) - NO CONTEST! VOTE FOR THE SMART GUY, DENNIS KUCINICH LIGHT UP AMERICA
We are robbing them of their oil huh. Is that why crude is at record highs, or why gas is $3 a gallon in the US? If we are robbing it from them, why are we still paying so much?
We were lied to, really? We were lied to by the UN, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Israel, France, Germany, Australia. All of these people/countries said that Iraq had WMD. I guess we were lied to by all these people. Ask the Kurds who were gased in the 80's if Saddam had WMD, I bet they say YES.
Oil is the best reason to go to war, that is except for maybe water resources. Tell me all you Dennis supporters: what are you going to eat next week if we were cut off from oil. No oil means no food shipments to the US or inside the US. Really, explain to me what you are going to eat?
They'd be eating mudpies and their own boot leather that's what they'd be eating. 'No blood for oil' is a noble sentiment but as far as I know you can't eat noble sentiments or good intentions.
Too bad the whole nation doesn't agree with his 'no blood for oil' platform.
I guess that means the whole nation will gladly trade American blood for oil.
I for one can't really blame them. We have a pretty good life in America and that's mostly b/c we get to consume so much oil. No one in their right mind will give up their plastic Tupperware or quick trips to the 7-Eleven in order to spare a few U.S. soldiers.
After all, "the american way of life is non-negotiable."
But not another another billion dollars every week.
Dennis is not a liar. He has advocated for reparations for the Iraqis for sometime. We have only made their situation worse, rather than better. We owe it to them to correct the situation.
What Dennis is saying is that our occupation of Iraq and our privatizing of their oil is NOT helping them-- it's only helping the huge corporations and their partner bureaucrats here in the US.
Dennis went to Syria saying the same thingshedoes in the US Dennis went to another country to express that the majority of Americans do not agree with the war in Iraq. He is promoting the peaceful ideals of America. He did what other candidates merely promised. This media outrage against Dennis Kucinich is the work of his opponents campaign dollars at work. Need we be reminded of Howard Dean's cheer? I wonder how much money Deans opponents spent to get that video to air routinely for weeks?
bush is a puppet of the oil companies and international bankers...jeez the american political system is corrupt...it works in theory but hey even communism works in theory...in practice it turns into dictatorship
all of these numbers are true. I don't link any of them with kucinich. It just proves how disgusting of a person Bush is and all of his oil-hungry cronies. I'm voting for obama
My Garbage bill went up $4.75 fuel charge it said My spray cleaner went up $2 at a store where prices are suspose to go down at walmart Everything went up a dollar or more of things I buy on a weekly trip to the store Things I GOTTA have i thought ?
Don't patronize us by saying it's not free, we pay for it with taxes!." Well we drive on city streets for FREE -- but we paid for their construction with taxes, they are FREE, -- the book at the library is FREE, -- the Fire Depatment, the Police Depatment etc., are FREE. ALL these are FREE services, collectively socialized and paid for with our tax dollars. To argue that health care -- a life & death issue for many -- should not be considered in the exact SAME league is LUDICROUS and ARCHAIC.
Isn't the opposite argument equally patronizing? I don't see how this one is when it provides for all. HEalth care is a public good, like water, not meant to be sold for profit, if you really believe in an equal opportunity for all. If you don't, then all the services you mention above should likewise be privatized. Should we do that too? It seems some of your arguments are relatively outdated in this regard.
Dennis Kucinich is an honest man full of integrity. He's the "only" candidate that proposes a true "Not-For-Profit" Universal Health Care with a Single Payer by introducing Bill H.R. 676 and the "only" one to seek Dick Cheney's empeachment with Bill H.R. 333. That my friends is a man with absolute gumption and sincerity. We the People need him as our next President.
Our elected government system is not functioning the way it was intended. With our vote last Nov. you might ask yourself why we still are in the middle east. Our voice, as a people, is being silenced by special interest groups such a AIPAC, in connection with mass media who fund AIPAC, for the benefit to those other than the majority of American people. Search for the truth about this and pass the word on what you find.
Only by reestablishing what our founding fathers intended will we be able to face the present and future challenges. We must end the power that special interest groups have over our elected officials and system of government. Only Ron Paul wants to move us in that direction. I urge you all to look for truth past our mass media. See for yourself what Ron Paul is about and then help Ron Paul get on the ticket for the GOP. This is the true War worth fighting for.
This is a powerful ad. I like that Kucinich isn't about attacking his opponents. He bites back when people criticize him, but for the most part he is pretty humble. The deeper you dig into Kucinich's past you will find that he has had a consistent stance his entire life. He is a man who is dedicated to peace and social and economic justice.
Dennis Kucinich is the only member of congress who is standing up for the voice of the people. It is terrible what things have come to. Our Health care, public schools, the war, and our foreign relations. Bush has monopolized the government. He has expanded the EOP, he created a conservative judicial branch, and now congress is powerless. It doesn't matter that the Democrats have a majority in congress. We can't nail Bush for anything even though the evidence is right in front of our faces.
wisk, we have to stop this idiot however we can. There is a big meeting at the NY Ethical Society, W 62 St. at 6:30 tomorrow for impeachment. I hope many come.
meat, the only conspiracy was the one that Ann Cappelletti, together with the neocon think tank created to perform an magickal illusion of planes (no planes, they were ditched in the ocean) flying into the WTC. Witches burn gold for demonic power, there were 3 truckloads of gold in the basement of the WTC, which is now buried in New Jersey, Long Island Sound or around the Statue of Liberty.
Invading Iraq may be the most disgraceful thing the USA has done in it's history. Bush/Cheney should be impeached, put on trial for war crimes, and then punished. Bush/Cheney are no better than any other mass murderers and yet they remain in power!
It seems very impressive to me, the idea of doing a kind of "infomercial" and then simply having your name at the end of it as a tag. Not the usual campaign ad, where the candidate is simply advertising himself.
I am sick of propagandist who sit on videos and respond to every post with vile hate. Those who stay where the majority of viewers would disagree with them because they take time to educate themselves. Sit and work to pick off those who have not done there homework, trying to convert them to believing what they say even though the facts are otherwise. Its the lowest and most diabolical tactic out there. Read, Learn, Educate yourself! Knowledge is power, don't just take other peoples words.
Also, the end quote "No More Blood For Oil," I think, would only serve to affirm the impression in many voters' mind that Kucinich is merely an "anti-war" candidate that would fail to attract more moderate voters in the general election, which is sad because Kucinich is more than the "peace candidate" he appears to be and has some good ideas for the future of our country.
I am impressed with the feeling that this video generates by the way the truth is told. - One comment, I would like to see a picture of Congressman Kucinich as a more serious picture, reflecting the facts just viewed.
Agree with the figures and the sentiment of the ad--we've paid too much, both in American and Iraqi lives as well as our tax money, in this misguided war in Iraq for us to stay there one more day--but the commercial I feel lacks the "punch" it needs to get the Kucinich campaign off the ground.
The fact is we have the cheapest gas of any industrial (civilized) country. So stop bitching and start walking, take a bus, carpool, ride a bike if you can't afford to drive. Second hybrids are a waist of money and will cause serious enviromental damage when they expire. 10yr.life.
elcarcho, most familys on 2 paychecks struggle? Gee, are you talking about the majority of illegals, uneducated, dropouts, over spending money on crap they don't need, maxing out credit card morons.hmmm this is not the fault of the Gov't. People need to start taking the blame for there mis-fortune.
That was very interesting. GO UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Is that not the most beautiful caps you have ever seen. Makes me proud to be here. GOD BLESS it and even you liberals. I hope someday you will see that you were fighting on the wrong side. No need to hate America so much.
I'm skeptical of the "blood for oil" argument, I think truth is probably more along the lines of "blood to line the pockets of defense contractors and Haliburton and the expense of taxpayers and the future of the country," but I guess that doesn't make for a very good slogan. I'm not a big fan of slogans, but I suppose they are a necessary evil in the political realm.
This is not so much about the price you pay at the pump - it is about the price our soldiers pay with their lives, the loss of our Constitution, the loss of our respect in the world of nations, the loss of our conscience, the lies we tell to ourselves -- let us not pay with our souls. Wake up America - Bring our soldiers home and help get the greedy oil barons out of the White house and also out of Iraq. Give Iraq back to the Iraqi people.
"Give Iraq back to the Iraqi people". Before or after we took out Sadam? When he was in control the people had no say. We are trying to give the Iraq people a chance, but they have so many internal problems. It is such a poor country that many take bribes from terrorists. These terrorists will not stop if we do. That is what these liberals keep pumping out on the news. There is no peace without war. Become an American and turn off the liberal news and pick up a Human Events paper.
cont. ineffectiveness of "windfall profits taxes," and blame Big Oil for refusing to build refineries while ignoring enviromental restrictions that make it unprofiable to do so. I feel sorry for all you people that listen to the liberal idiots.
Today's "fatter paycheck" may be more then it used to be, but the average individual income when adjusted for inflation is less. In 1949 when gas was 27 cents a gallon most families lived on one paycheck while being able to raise a family. Today in most families both parents work and they still struggle. Yes other countries pay more, no question, and yes compare to inflation gas isn't overly expensive, but when you compare it to income and cost of living it is.---
---In the 50's the average household, which had one income made about 30K when adjusted for inflation, where as now a household with 2 family members working is only about 43K. That means a single person makes about 22K a year. With costs of housing at an all time high and people traveling farther for work then when they did in the 40's 50's 60's that means a higher percentage of income goes to gas, while income is already pinched.
---To sum it up, media wants buzz to get ratings, hence the constant talk about gas prices, politicians take large bribes from big oil while still trying to act tough all the while ignoring the negative impact the combustion of fossil fuels is having on our environment. To say there is a "liberal media" is absurd, if anything it leans right into whomever's pocket will allow them to make the most money, which at the current is the neo-conservative republican party. Forshame!
You could not be anymore wrong. First off the republican party is getting smashed by the liberal media and folks like you. You lost all crediablity when you said "To say there is a "liberal media" is absurd". Your numbers don't show any real facts. Please tell me where it say's the the median income is 22K for a single person nation wide. Have you seen these so called politicians taking oil bribes? Or do you just guess?
The US is rated 32 in free press. Look up the definition of liberal, a liberal press would be an open minded one that would be free. Clearly our press is not. Now your gonna say "I meant it espouses liberal politics" and thats false, because one of the main liberal beliefs is a free press. :))
Liberal is far from opened minded. They can claim what ever they want about free press. That is called a rouse. They have blinded you. Why is it anytime ABC, NBC,CBS, etc. talks about the presidency, they give 80% more air time to democraps. If you are refering that Jews run the media, your are very right. These are liberal people my friend.
BTW, can you say lobbyist? tell me, what does a lobbyist do for a living? Thats right, they bribe people. No matter how people try to spin it, thats what they do, 100 years ago lobbying was illegal, why? because it was considered bribery! Both sides take bribes, Worthington is corrupt.
Ill admit, i misspoke. According to the 2006 census 42% of Americans made under 25k last year and more then 50% under 30k. While less the 17% made over 50K... so i miss spoke, the average american made less then 25k in 2006, barely a living wage, and more then half of them made under 15k. Thats all right off the 2006 census. Smile, your a moron! :))
Where are your facts on these numbers. Because they don't add up. Whose the moron. Where are you from? First get your math straight and second dig a hole and fall in. You post without facts and I am sorry if you are in the 42% that you claim there is. I have looking all over the interent for these numbers and guess what your WRONG!!!!
Jews have tried to get rid of many christian holidays. They are a secular group. Look at Switzerland, there banks are owned by Jews since world war 2. That place is about as secular as they come.
unfortunately, you can't refund blood. Dick and Bush should be banned from any political premesis. Sorry for spelliung

If war is about oil, then why is it being traded at 100$/barrel, while it was only 25$/barrel in 2003, just before the invasion ?
cetaepsilon 4 years ago
The higher the cost of a barrel of oil the more proffit American companies make from the sale of said oil barrel. The US has oil (and its running out) if the world wide cost of oil goes up then US oil will go up to.
waveoflight 4 years ago
Basically you are saying that higher prices = higher profit.
Have you ever heard about the law of supply and demand? The thing they teach to junior high school students ?
AND, if high oil prices were their goal from the beginning, why did they take the least thinkable approach, by sending troops to Iraq? Wouldn't it be easier if they'd just picked up their phone and told their secretary to rise the prices?
cetaepsilon 4 years ago
cetailspin,
This illegal war is about more than, but is mainly about the control of this region with oil reserves under ground.
ISbluntANevilB4ST4RD 3 years ago
Building military base and maintaining control? Even Bush himself has agreed to pull the troops gradually after 2009.
And since it is very likely that Obama will win the presidency, the withdrawal might be executed this year.
And please don't tell me anymore of those wacky Rockefeller stories. The fact is, I am paying more than 4$/gallon now.
So where is the goddamned oil those powers-behind-the-scene are supposed to produce?
cetaepsilon 3 years ago
#1, has America EVER left without atleast one base immediately after an armed conflict? It's called security treaties. America still has bases in Taiwan, Japan, Guadalcanal, Germany, so forth.
#2, OIL has little to do w/ the Iraq war itself. If you believe so you are dearly misinformed.
#3, Vote for McCain, Obama WILL NOT, pull troops out within his 9 or 18 months deadline whichever. We will ALWAYS have a presence there, even he has admitted to that, do some research.

A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner.

It's the reason 9/11 happened.
amunaor 4 years ago
Do you idiots really believe the war in Iraq was about oil? If it was, we'd have just done a deal with Saddam like the French did - and why they were against the war.
iceskateuphill 4 years ago
Because why make a deal.. When you can control all the oil with no real price to pay. On top of that the Military business rake in mad money. So all the neocons win, and they also want bases in Iraq and Afghanistan for future conflict with Iran. Moron.
Leva1234 4 years ago
First off, it's a 33-sec political ad. It's bound to be "simplistic." But you make a number of claims that require more info for me to believe them. Has "violence slowed," really, or is it just better than the extremes of a few months ago? If anything, it looks like the last 2 months have been back to 2003 levels, which doesn't mean that things are lessening in the long run, or even great now: icasualties(dot)org/oif/
trotskysbeard 4 years ago
I'm not sure what's "democratic" about an undeclared war based on lies (repeated changes of reasons for war, etc.), or running a country over and above its people for years, or having US companies rob billions from taxpayers. Or having private - never mind military - security forces kill Iraqis w/o provocation (e.g. Blackwater). Or having 73k (IBC) to 700k (Lancet) to 1m+ (ORB) civilian deaths, even when we're talking about civil war.
trotskysbeard 4 years ago 2
Right on! The Bush Oligarchy has no business shoving democracy down the throats of anyone, water-boarding or the barrel of a gun. Who the hell made him the god-king-policeman? Someone needs to disarm this lunatic and his spook association. But, who can make war against the Beast?
amunaor 4 years ago
America is not the world police. It doesn't give us justification to just raid a nation because they live bad. If that were the case then why aren't we raiding Africa? I mean Darfur got a serious problem going on there why don't we just use brute force instead of Diplomacy?
sodoffusillygit 4 years ago 3
this is such a simplistic and mindless way of looking at the iraq war. liberals always sum it up to being a waste of money with no outcome but death and lost tax dollars, but we are in fact winning over there, violence has slowed down, and the government is starting to stabilize. who said democracy doesn't work?
greene825 4 years ago
How is invading a sovereign nation democracy? Hussein had no ties to 9/11 nor did he have weapons of mass destruction so ..... um why are we there? I'd call that wasting money and cutting lives short for no reason.

So how many American deaths if Iraq had gotten a nuclear weapon and used in on New York? I guess you were willing to take that chance.
Clownkillerreb 4 years ago
What makes you think that Iraq was able to get a nuke or have the ability to lauch it at New York???? No one has found evidence of this and even the Bush administration, who most adamately claimed Iraq was developing WMDs has said they were wrong. The threat was constructed and false. Plus, we should solve the reasons why anyone would want to bomb us, not just that they have a weapon to do so. That approach doesn't change their mentality. And NO they dont hate us just b/c we are free!
njab2016 4 years ago 4

Iraq was building a nuclear plant and the Isralies bombed it. Iraq could just buy it from North Korea. We can't solve Muslems wanting to concor the world. The war on terror started 1400 years ago with the birth of Mohomad.
todddoom 4 years ago
Well Xtians could be considered to want to conquer the world just as much. What about all of those forced conversions in colonial times? Where did you hear that Iraq was building a nuke plant? Also, Iraq had strict reparations placed on its government. It couldn't just make large purchases from other countries. Perhaps on the black market, but unlikely. Even Bush has admitted there was NOTHING! Muslims do NOT want to conquer the world by the way, read the Quran.
njab2016 4 years ago
Howdy my friend. Iraq invaded Iran and had an 8 year war that killed about 1 million people. Durring that war Iraq was building a nuclear reactor and Israel bombed it. It was in the news recently that the UN weopons inspectors left Iraq left Iraq because they weren't being alowed to inspect weapon plants. The Quran says Muslems must educate non believers about Islam, convert them or make them pay a special tax or kill them. It is in the Quran. You can research it on the internet.
todddoom 4 years ago
I know of the Iraq-Iran war, but that was a while ago and if Israel bombed the nuke reactor what was still there to develop? Even if there was remnants, or just the desire to rebuild, what evidence was there of this happening? The UN inspectors were also leaving Iraq because the US was ready to go to war before they were finished. And the Quran, that's a dangerous interpretation. Actually elements of the Bible have been translated the same way. It does not make it true.

Pt 1 of 5
There is a strategy that can totally destroy the neo-con world conquest agenda. It should not be Kucinich or Ron Paul it should be Kucinch and Ron Paul. But how do you do that when they are on opposing political parties and opposing political viewpoints. Kucinich is a Socialist (which is ok) and Ron Paul is a libertarian (less government the better). Quite frankly I could live with ether.
ericvideo 4 years ago
Pt 2 of 5
What's important to me is having a man in the white house that is not a prostitute to the Neo-Con Zionnazis, who are planning war with Iran and World War Three.
Without going into a long dissertation. We must do all in our power to put these two men into the spotlight and exclude the rest of the compromising ass-kissers. The best way this can be accomplished is by organizing Ron Paul / Dennis Kucinich debates to take place at the primaries in the state where they take place.
ericvideo 4 years ago

Pt 3 of 5
If the state controlled media CNN/FOX does not cover these debates, they will still make there way to YouTube and Google, something the Zionnazis didn't plan for. The most important thing we must all try as hard as we can to accomplish is to convince these two just men to commit to each other, that who ever becomes president will pick the other as vice president. Can an extreme right-winger join forces with an extreme left-winger? In this rare instance I think it is possible.
ericvideo 4 years ago
Pt 4 of 5
In America everything used to be possible before "they" shot Kennedy. We were able to put men on the moon! We should not be so paralyzed as a nation to not be able to put a Republican and a Democrat into the Whitehouse at the same time! America we can do what ever we want!
ericvideo 4 years ago
Pt 5 of 5
If we want our country back from the "masters of deception" we must be bold in our thinking and approach! Kucinch/Paul or Paul/Kucinich I don't care which comes before the other as long as they are together. The Republican and Democratic parties both have screwed us, now it's time to screw them! Wake up America, no wars for oil or Israel!
ericvideo 4 years ago 2
No one denies we rely on oil a lot right now, but continuing to rely on it is very ignorant.
Humans exist because of change. Our need for oil is subject to change as well whether you like it or not.
We need more reliable and healthier sources of energy. As new technologies for energy are developed, energy will only continue to be cheaper while oil will only become more expensive (costing money and lives).
The sooner we start changing, the sooner we will see the benefits.

To argue that health care -- a life & death issue for many -- should not be considered in the exact SAME league is LUDICROUS and ARCHAIC.
librophile 4 years ago
Isn't the opposite argument equally patronizing? I don't see how this one is when it provides for all. HEalth care is a public good, like water, not meant to be sold for profit, if you really believe in an equal opportunity for all. If you don't, then all the services you mention above should likewise be privatized. Should we do that too? It seems some of your arguments are relatively outdated in this regard.

Search for the truth about this and pass the word on what you find.
westlv 4 years ago
Only by reestablishing what our founding fathers intended will we be able to face the present and future challenges. We must end the power that special interest groups have over our elected officials and system of government. Only Ron Paul wants to move us in that direction. It seems very impressive to me, the idea of doing a kind of "infomercial" and then simply having your name at the end of it as a tag. Not the usual campaign ad, where the candidate is simply advertising himself.

i think its a great ad!

10yr.life.

Yes other countries pay more, no question, and yes compare to inflation gas isn't overly expensive, but when you compare it to income and cost of living it is.---
ElCarcho 4 years ago
---In the 50's the average household, which had one income made about 30K when adjusted for inflation, where as now a household with 2 family members working is only about 43K. That means a single person makes about 22K a year. With costs of housing at an all time high and people traveling farther for work then when they did in the 40's 50's 60's that means a higher percentage of income goes to gas, while income is already pinched.
ElCarcho 4 years ago
---To sum it up, media wants buzz to get ratings, hence the constant talk about gas prices, politicians take large bribes from big oil while still trying to act tough all the while ignoring the negative impact the combustion of fossil fuels is having on our environment. To say there is a "liberal media" is absurd, if anything it leans right into whomever's pocket will allow them to make the most money, which at the current is the neo-conservative republican party. Forshame!
ElCarcho 4 years ago

ElCarcho 4 years ago
Liberal is far from opened minded. They can claim what ever they want about free press. That is called a rouse. They have blinded you. Why is it anytime ABC, NBC,CBS, etc. talks about the presidency, they give 80% more air time to democraps. If you are refering that Jews run the media, your are very right. These are liberal people my friend.
bikeme69 4 years ago

ElCarcho 4 years ago
Where are your facts on these numbers. Because they don't add up. Whose the moron. Where are you from? First get your math straight and second dig a hole and fall in. You post without facts and I am sorry if you are in the 42% that you claim there is. I have looking all over the interent for these numbers and guess what your WRONG!!!!

Jews have tried to get rid of many christian holidays. They are a secular group. Look at Switzerland, there banks are owned by Jews since world war 2. That place is about as secular as they come.
