Melatonin is a beautiful thing always puts you out no matter what the circumstances and this is a perfect wind down song to let the medicine take over
"India Rubber" might be the coolest outro of any song they've ever made, "Fasttrack" might be the most experimental song they've ever made, "How I Made My Millions" might be the most beautiful ballad they've ever written, and if not it might be "A Reminder".
And yet they have so much brilliant material, none of those tracks were even worthy of being on an album.
It's frightening how many beautiful tracks have come from 5 guys.
Melatonin is great in moderation . Ive been taking it since the 90s to treat my insonmnia, but often i have to go off it for a while, otherwise it doesnt work anymore. The pineal gland gets over worked maybe from oral dosage.
took 50mg once, was wild. Best legal trip out there
This track was a UK B-side on the Paranoid Android single I bought in 96 I think it was. My passion for RH being quite embryonic at that stage. (I was 17 then). Good times...
randomness. sweet tunefulness and the calmness it all brings. It's funny, like it's in tune with my overflowing emotions and then allows them to flow out into the ether. I love this music.
Strange song, but also a beautiful song. Maybe they could have included it on OK Computer as a hidden song at the very end ("The Tourist"<minute of silence<"Melatonin").
@lednerg I used to debate with myself whether he was saying "Don't forget that you are a...Saint...or Slut!! LOL!! I think you've got it right. All though I was kind of hoping it would be Slut. How epic would that be to say some shit like that. Don't forget that you're a slut, now go back to bed. lmao!! My guess, now that I know the true lyrics, is that this is about his child, not a slut!
there are so many good radiohead b-sides. nearly every single b-side i've heard deserves to be on the album that its b-sided to. its just an opinion i know. but i think there are lots of great ones. coke babies, fog, talk show host, yes i am, palo alto, polyethylene just to name a few.
add cuttooth to that list and how can you be sure oh and molasses and .... oh and.. dhdgckdlhvkvahahaahhhahh

Don't forget that you are our son
Now go back to bed
We just know that you'll do well
You won't come to harm
Death to all who stand in your way
Wake, my dear

This song takes you out of whatever state of mind you're and plunges you into some unusual hypnotic state, I wish it was much longer
though

Thats kind of ironic as Melatonin naturally puts oneself in a drowsy state! Anyway, its a great song isn't it!
