Thank you. For me Piazzolla is not a Tango writer like Gardel or other Argentinian composers, strong rhythm, but a sort of soft bounce as well. I find Piazzolla in his Nonett plays with a starkness and harshness contrasted by sweetness (as from 1.51min) For me he has picked up from Boulez some of the 20th century European love of clashes. People complain when I make stark cello sounds like that. That's ok, because I can make the sound they want very well too.
i believe that everyone should take a music appreciation class once in their lifetime, it will help people to understand the signifiance of music such as this.this is a very unique piece, and if it werent for musicians creating new ides, music would not be what it is today.
Lol..... this is like the one of the worst piece i've ever heard.... the notes just stop once a while which makes people think that is boring. He could've done a better drop if he did bigger virbato and bigger motions, longer bowings, and the preasure of his arm...
I think it's quite nice actually; it's not like other classical cello solos, it's a totally different style. Just because you're not fond of his style doesn't mean it's bad.
I think he was quite expressive, and it had an interesting feel to it.
got to love it....beautiful*!*!*!
