  • Hey are you familiar with alot of different call companies i have an incredible custom call but i have no idea who makes it

is there any way i can email you a picture of it on your site to see if you know who makes it

  • Thank You!

  • Hope it helped ... best of luck in 2009

  • What is the name of that call he uses?

Where do I start to look for a good call?

  • I'm using a Tim Grounds Super Mag ... check out GundogsOnline ... I have a link on my channel ... they have a bunch of other videos there as well ... good luck.

  • Thanks very much!

  • Im haveing alittle truoble calling geese in this early season. Is thier any notes or calling you do during the early season?

  • Real Mellow ... in the early season birds are usually used to going to the same spot ... a lot of calling could blow them out or make them a little uneasy.

  • hey can I ask you if the rich n tone cocobolo hunter series goose call compares to a foiles straight meat and a tim grounds super mag. because i have the rnt and its great but i wanna know which is easier and more successful.

  • Any call can be easy or hard to blow depending on how it's tuned ... as for success in the field ... as long as you sound like a goose, you should be just fine. RNT makes some great calls ... I'm not familiar with the one your talking about but I've used the Kelley Powers call by RNT and it rocks.

    Good luck ...

  • hey gundogs online i hav a problem with one of my calls its a gardner canada hammer i just cant make the right goose honk i try using words people tell me to use but it doesnt come out right do you think you could help me?

  • You don't need to say anything ... it all air and tongue movement ... here it is nice and simple ...

    1) Blow very easy through the call with your tongue down ... enough to make a low steady noise.

    2) Increase your air sharply and quickly bring your tongue up to the roof of you mouth at the same time ... "quickly"

That should be enough to snap the reed and roll it over like a goose call ... that's real basic, but at least it's something to work with.

    Good Luck.

    Matt

  • im not gundogs but i recomend saying dew-it its pronounced

    like "do it" fast

  • hey I haven't talked to you for a while how are you?, goose hunting season is coming up soon, good luck!

  • We're always ready for goose huntin' ... can't wait ... keep in touch bud.

  • I sure will, I'll also try to post up a video too if i can

  • was somebody peeing in the background?

  • No ... all around around us ... and her name was Mother Nature ... it started to rain during filming.

  • please tell me what to say into a call to make deferent sounds

  • Depends on what calls you want to make ... you really don't want to say anything ... but to start it is similar to a "hooo-it" ... don't worry about grunting into the call if your just learning ... get some goose sounds out of the call first ... then move on from there. Good Luck!!

  • thanks a lot it really helped

  • awesome video,

i love the short reed goose calls,

i cant even use the flute style calls

  • Thanks man ... glad you like 'em. We'll have a lot more comin' towards fall ... we are looking at the upcoming turkey season for now.

  • Matt... I just happened to be clicking around on youtube and ran across this video and recognized you. I met you down at Cabelas in Hartford on one of their opening days. You spent alot of time with a couple of buddies and i showing us the inside outs of all the goose calls, and eventually sold me on the Tim Grounds "the real thang". Don't know if you remember us or not but i never did get the chance to thank you for your time and expertise, it was much appreciated. we downed countless #s

  • SWEET ... glad you like it ... and I pretty sure I remember ya ... your entire crew picked up calls ... you guys were into it for sure ... you seemed pretty dialed in. Glad I could help ... subscribe to my channel, cause we got a lot more comin'. Congrat's on the slay fest in NH ... we'll have to hook up some time.

  • Very nice job. Clear and well demonstrated. Good use of closeup and emphasis of key points.

  • Thanks man ... Glad it helped ... we try to keep it easy and informative for all ... I appreciate your input ... keep an eye out for more stuff coming for next season.

  • thats pretty good, are you gonna make any other videos soon, like for a little bit more advanced such as double clucks, moans, comeback etc... ??

  • We sure are bud ... thanks for the feedback, greatly appreciated ... we will certainly get into some more advanced stuff for next season ... we just picked some simple things to help people without a lot of practice. More advanced is comin' ... subscribe to my channel so you know when they hit ... first we're gonna have some turkey stuff coming up since that's the next season.

  • Thankyou for the video, awesome help. One thing I need to know. Can you call that good with gloves on? And which ones do you recommend wearing if you can. I am half decent without gloves with gloves I am useless. I can get away with using gloves with a duck call but can't do anything with a short reed. Any suggestions?

  • Using gloves changes the tone of the call a ton ... it also changes your back-pressure. To get the best sound and consistancy out of your call, I would recommend not using goves. If it's cold, get a hand muff or use handwarmers in your pockets ... or both.

  • Does this go with the Honky tonk? It seems like i cant really get the honky tonk to do that same sound. I mean the tip was great sounds better than before but just not like yours.

  • Absolutely ... I have one of Will's Killa Honky Tonk's ... it's a great call ... all calls, even ones of the same style, will sound a little different ... and that's a good thing ... differences usually come from different call designs and the position of your "off Hand" and the chamber you produce with it ... good luck and keep getting better.

  • thanks man..very good tips what kind of calls do you recommend? im just getting into goose hunting..

  • Not a problem bud ... I HIGHLY recomend picking out a short reed call ... I'm using a Tim Grounds Super Mag in this video, but there are many great ones out there. Check out my channel for more vids.

  • awsome. not enough of this out there. keep the goose stuff coming. thanx
