i just watched the entire video and I realised something. Your an idiot. Not only are you taking Al Ore at his word for global warming but you are confusing global warming with ozone depletion. CFCs are greenhouse gases but what you must understand is that they play a very small part in the man-made greenhouse effect which is merely a small part of the total greenhouse effect.
When we found out about this in the early 80s it was scary because we thought that the ozone layer could collapse because of man-made pollutants. Global Warming wasn't even in the average person's vocabulary at the time. But, once every started talking about global warming and scientists said the ozone layer was repairing itself, then a lot of people let their guard down and didn't seem to be scared of it failing anymore.
I thought it intersting that the ozone layer is only 1/8 in thick and there has never been a hole in it - just a place thinner than the rest - you will also note that the hole doesn't get worse from 1979 to 2008 - it just thins and thickens with the seasons - the whole debate is over 1/3 of 1/8 of an inch
The ozone layer isnt being depleted, its being displaced. If you watch a video of it forming and healing over whatever year, you'll notice that the ozone layer around the hole is double the thickness. All the ozone from the hole is sitting there until the ice cap cools down again, and the ozone goes back.
I'm thinking that maybe moisture coming up from the caps every 'spring/summer' is pushing it out of the way temporaraly.
The ozone layer is not being depleted, its being displaced. If you watch the videos of the hole forming each year, you'll notice that around the hole the ozone layer is twice as thick as the ozone from the hole area is now sitting there. My question is what is pushing it out of the way? Perhaps evaporating moisture from the ice caps every 'spring' ?
All the governments have to do is put laws on being inefficient and if anyone breaks those laws give them the death penalty. Things will change pretty fast then.

Ozone is a greenhouse gas. It increases the earth's temperature.

this is really helpful , with my scince project

my apologies there but kyoto protocool was a treaty specifically for global warming not depletion

in other words .0416 of just one inch
WOW, pretty scary huh....

Does the ozone protect us?
Eddy34Mario 3 years ago
yes it does. it protects us from the sun's UV rays. which without the ozone layer, we pretty much would be burned by the sun's rays.

That means its called GLOBAL WARMING! But its so cold in England.
Eddy34Mario 3 years ago
ok? what does the cold have to do with it?
tobylove4 3 years ago
So even cold makes it hot or something?
Eddy34Mario 3 years ago
@Eddy34Mario 100 years ago it was MUCH colder in England.....

For all we know this has been happening for 1000's of years, and we just recently have be able to measure it, and got all freaked out.

i dont think the ozone layer exsist. i can explain if you want.

Well would you mind explaining to me?

Yeah we're all worried about the Ozone depleting but it will eventually repair itself, if you haven't noticed it's already started.
