@rs200000000000 Whole Engine is Taurus 3.0 Block and Heads with Contour SVT Cams and Timing equipment and ported to accept Contour SVT Intake Manifolds. Torsen ATB Diff in the MTX75
@rs200000000000 Yes its funny that some parts are shared out of the Aston but its not many at all. But this isnt the case anymore. Ford doesnt own Aston Martin anymore. And by the looks of the several new Aston Martins on the block I live on, I can assure you there is nothing shared between them.
@rs200000000000 those are actually ford engines not mazda engines. First car to get it was the ford mondeo/contour 2.5l version, than the taurus, and sable were the first to get the 3.0 version in 96. It didn't end up in a mazda until 2002.
The Stazi Mesh kits are no longer made by Stazi. They come up on the forums classifieds every so often. As for mounting them. There is no special way to mount them. The tabs from the bumpers go through the mesh and I used pliers to bend the mesh tighter and then small binder clips to hold them in place. As for the Grill you have to drill/cut out the original mesh (I recommend doing this to a stock contour grill) and then screw the mesh in between the ring and mounts. Contour.org for a how-to.
@TSTraction ahh ok man, thanks, I did discover he no longer makes them, I son't see it being very hard, but as most have said about him, he's a stickler for detail.
I love your car, I've got a 1998 I'm getting, was the 3L swap hard?
@KingOfTheClutch 3L swap is not hard. I had everything done by Aircougar performance at the time. Exhaust is MSDS Headers, NPG catless downpipe, Bassani exhaust. - Amyn
