@bobblackey1 I admit to never hearing the original band! except radio cuts of various things ... but I do like DT ... I'll hafta listen to the cuts you described. Of course, the debate seems endless whether DT is 'better' than Duane ... I am not even going to comment on that! to each his own ...
the whole thing seems to be Derek Trucks' solo ... not that that's a BAD thing, mind you! Would like to see more of RR on pedal steel, he is great as well. Here, he's just providing a little more accompaniment to Derek's solo work.
@RickSPI2009 I'm still waiting for Derek Trucks to equal or surpass what Duane Allman did on Eat a Peach and Fillmore East! And when is Warren Haynes going to play are REALLY great blues solo? When is Warren going to top say the blues solo Dickey Betts does on Jelly, Jelly on Brother and Sisters. It seams clear you cats who put Derek, Warren and Otiel in the same league with the orignal band (Duane, Dickey and Oakely) NEVER heard the original band. If you heard the original, this ain't the ABB!
Holy cow, Robert Randolph with the ABB featuring Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes??? That's heaven! I've always thought that RR belonged in the ABB, and vice versa!
Can you say SOUL... I knew that you could now...

This is Lovelight; you should edit the title to say so :-) It features Robert Randolph on pedal steel guitar & vocals and Adam Nussbaum on drums.

Turn on your Lovelight is correct. Lovelight is a deadhead abbreviation
Great Jam no doubt though!
