the clamp is not heated though. Admittedly since it's all made of metal it wouldn't be long before it'd be the same temp but still.. maybe she's a perfectionist lol

the clamp heats as much as the iron because its down as the iron heats up.. holding the clamp up on a professional iron strains the hand and every professional should know the less strain on the hands and body the better :)
