@elharlock Sailor Jerrys is one of the better commonly available spiced rums (seen it at Walmart so you have no excuse). You should definitely give it a try some time.

Kraken is a very good spiced rum. But I for one don't really get into rum that much. I've had Bacardi, Cruzan 9, Bacardi 151, Captain Morgan, and that's it besides Kraken. I haven't had it in a long time but it's good. It burns a good bit on the way down though, kind of like the way Wild Turkey 101 does.

I saw this in the store it looked interesting,but I can in for other stuff. Didn't think I'd see something over 40% but this is a little over 40% and then top it off stroh 54 or whatever is some rum in the 50 something range and bacardi 151 is 75.5% but the strongest drink i ever had was 60 something %.

you know that bottle looks like an octopus in a way, pretty cool. Have you seen the new version of clash of the titans, all they talk about in that movie is the kraken, then he shows up near the end and the battle is only like 5 mins, but still the kraken looks cool. Great review, there has to be a lot of coloring in that bitch, part of marketing I suppose.

@Tantrum777 Thanks. Yeah, I saw the remake of "Clash...". Pretty lame film, I thought. I even prefer the stop-motion effects from the original to the CGI stuff they had there. Yeah, this is some dark, dark stuff. The rum manages to be good enough to rise above it.
