Todd buying this ball was GENIUS. It gave him immense notoriety which is exactly what he was going for. It made all his sports line of toys sell even more. As far as I heard, this move never hurt him.
@j0hnst3r Actually, I do like McFarlane's conception of Spawn and his artistry, please, allow me to redirect my criticism and veer away from that to this specifically: I hated the Spawn animation series. It sucks.
@j0hnst3r My friend, that and Lady Death animation one shot are both contenders for cheap bang for the buck. Even Jim Lee's W.I.L..D. cats bombed, a few years prior.. Really, the odd ball is Silvistri's WitchBlade, but that was reimagined entirely save but for the weapon itself. Gorgeous animation but Japanified.
I dont see nothing wrong with man it his money and besides who are we to judge man baseball is his true love lol..its like me on ebay lol im like damn it fuck it lol i jump in lol if i really want something man ill go for it fuck it .if doesnt effect my bills lol i jump in with all the money possible!!.
By that logic a comic book is just some piece of paper with ink dye on it. It's a piece of history man, at least at the the time, and Todd wanted to collect it, that's what collectors do, they collect history.

Todd was cool until I found out about this 2.7 mill for a damn baseball?!?! Yes, Todd's looney. A ball? A BASEBALL?!?! A family could life GENERATIONS off that amount of money and people debate on spending THAT amount of money... ON A BALL!!! Money is sooo not real, yet controls the ones that don't have it... That seem right to you?
Maybe you're not putting "buying things" into perspective. When you pay $2.7mil for a baseball it is very different than paying $2.7 on fossil fuels or a dumb project that uses a bunch of people's time. The money was just shifted, but didn't in any way take away money from someone, else because the money didn't evaporate.
would have been better to have shifted to people who are needy than to people selling a 2 million dollar baseball lol.. how many kids went without food in canada/usa the day he bid'd on a useless 2 million dollar baseball?
so todd mcfarlane (one of the best comic artists/writers) is betting againts a jew lol. effing jewbags

The good thing is, if you made 2.7 million bucks, you will have the freedom to spend them the way you see fit...
