Why in the world is this stupid discussion about God and the Devil going on in the comments? This is a beautiful, heartening song about BEING A PARENT. Religion doesn't have anything to do with it.

Wow there is alot of talk about religion or God on here...i had/have lost my faith but i am slowly getting it back beginning to understand that God didn't make me suffer on purpose that there was a reason for being molested, raped, beaten, mentally, emotionally, abused for the first 20 yrs. of life as early as 4 yrs. old and now having to very young babies one with Acid reflux and my oldest has had problems with her speech and continues to have problems it is an ongoing thing with my babies...
I know this is about a mother and a child, but i love this song because it reminds me of me and my boyfriend. I love him so much, and he never really had a mother. I love this song. I know that for Plumb it was about her son, and how she held him one day knowing that one day he would grow up and that she could not protect him from everything. And I think the same when I hear this, I think that when I get old enough to leave the house and live for myself, that this is what my mum will think. But everyone has to let go at some point...

Plumb is one of the best Christian Artists out there and why they don't have original recordings of accompaniment tracks is beyond me. This is a wonderful song. Could be used in a worship service too.

if god loved us [or was even real] do you honestly think that people would be starving and dying, innocent people being blown to smitherines in war??? ... think about it.
You cannot blame God for the suffering people are enduring. Is God the one that started wars, created the Holocaust, murders, rapes, and gives disease to people?
Who does that? We do. The people. We have no one but ourselves to blame. God can change the world, but only through us. The reason people are suffering is because too many people are greedy and selfish and don't give a damn about anyone. God is not to blame.

He DIDNT ALLOW evil at first. After Adam and Eve disobeyed and took a bit from the forbidden fruit of the tree "knowledge of Good and Evil." He cast them out of the only place they were truly save from horrible distaster. When Lucifer saw this, he saw they were in mortal sin. Before Christ was sent to Earth, Sin was easily obtained through every act of living. Which is why there were so many sacrifices to God. Until the ultimate sacrifice was done. They need to understand that it's not everything else that is the problem, it's us, and only we have the power to change what has become our reality. The problem is that too many people like the way they live and don't want to burden themselves with change to help people who need it most.

@4391theunique I know that many religions have hypocrisy in them, but that doesn't mean that God does. Religions' corruption is why I understand why there are Atheists and ones of different faith and avoid forcing any of my views upon them. All that one can do is push one's abilities to the limit to try and make a glimmer of light in the world. It doesn't matter how small because the happiness that one can give to another can mean eternity.

I do agree that there can be no good without evil because no one would know which is which if the other is gone. There should be a balance between good and evil in the world but I don't believe we have that now. I think we have far too much evil.
