Dont know if you can help but: Whenever I batch render an aniamtion from Maya 2011 with Mental Ray, the physical sun and sky appears black. Can you tell me how to fix this?
can i ask, usually when doing a demo reel, like for example right now im working on a lighting demo reel, do people usually TEXTURE the stuff that appear in their LIGHTING reel as well? or do they just grab pre-textured models from somewhere and light it up?
I'm getting into 3DCG and I cannot wait... I am getting a Mac and Maya and I hope learning it wont be as frustrating as i think because i would LOVE to pursue this. I already took the recommended gr 12 courses :)

I suppose if it was pottery, you could technically say that, but I would have expected it to be more shiny and smoother. Other than that, I have to give a bow to you my friend, this is VERY impressive work. You've achieved realism.
NOOOO! Why did you have to animate that leaf falling? To me, that's literally the only thing that makes me realize this isn't real. Extremely impressive work though.
How many polys were each of the fruits? Im trying to make a low poly carrot so then clone it to make a garden....but I dont want it to be high poly with the leaves you know?
Fantastic render, so nice, bright and clean. How did you achieve that, did you use final gather, global illumination, or importons? Also, what was your depth of field plugin?
