I actually had one of these by my house, thank god it passed real quick. It was one of the biggest storms i've ever experienced and it was only a few months after a microburst hit near. A tree hit the top of my house but it didn't go through. Aren't these storms just amazing

uhm no its not. a funnel is condensation at the top of the cloud that begins to lower and if touches the ground its a tornado. and if that were what you think is a funnel that would be called a wall cloud or a funnel cloud. not a funnel but none of them are any of what i said or what you said accept maybe for 1:39 - 3:53 and 5:10 - 5:22 is a funnel cloud.

I was on the road traveling about 10 yrs ago. I saw what I thought was a scud cloud but was really a tornado forming. I almost drove into the path of it. It turned out to be an EF1 tornado which is pretty significant for my area.

Its a type of thunderstorm. A rare formation around 10 - 20 miles in width over 60000 feet in height usually producing severe weathers and tornados etc. I have experienced a storm like this once here in Iowa but I dont know if it was a supercell. It was dark, it had clouds like towering walls over a dark blackened sky. There were tornado warnings that day. I might be a storm chaser if I really put my thoughts and efforts to that career.

tornadoes can also form in hurrcanes bands, sqaul lines, but these r normally weak, but still dangerous. it has been known a tornado has form with only partly sunny skies.

No doubt that this storm has potential but that cloud at the begining wasn't a wall cloud

were im from in wales we get quite powerfull storms... we had one today and yesterday whilst playing football for my local club on yout topic im not 100% sure on this but a supercell is a sevre storm that lasts for several hours where the updraughts and down draughts are in a close balance and also the updraught rotates and therefore capable of spawning tornadoes i hope this answers your question.

Thank you! A massive storm just passed over Halifax, Nova Scotia. I averaged flashes per second, and added them up. About 3000 in 60 minutes. This storm has been within audible range for 5 hours now... I got some crude video, I'll post the highlights tomorrow.
