Most people know Dewey as The Missing Link, but he had some great success in the NWA territories and held numerous belts before he started that gimmick. He was managed by "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers for a short time and wrestled guys like Harley Race and Greg Valentine in the Mid Atlantic territories where he held numerous belts. RIP
this was the type of wrestling that u looked forward to every sat. missing link going around headbutting everybody..face or heel he was cool..ah the days of WCCW *sigh*
i had a small friendship with the link and he was a down to earth person just like ox baker and jimmy snuka. allen/bell family in upstate ny will miss you link and are happy that you touched our lifes for the last four years of your life. and yes the link is on our wall of fame along with ox baker(yea doug i threw your persona in here)and ray stern.the pwhf is in shame for not inducting the missin link and owen hart.
I loved watching the Missing Link...his matches just flowed well with whoever he was wrestling. I couldn't believe at first we was in his mid 40's when he was the Missing Link.
Its Hard for me to watch videos on Dewey, he was a friend of mine, I really miss him. Its even hard for me to erase his phone number from my phone. I really miss him.
Very nice tribute. WWE 24/7 On Demand is currently showing a match of the Link VS. Swede Hanson, which took place at the Boston Garden back on 9/7/85. It's too bad the Link only had a short WWF stint. He was scheduled to wrestle at the pay per view Wrestling Classic tournament on 11/7/85, but he was replaced by gulp ... Moondog Spot

The missing link was one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, he was probably the craziest wrestler to ever step in the ring. He will be missed.

Very nice tribute to the Missing Link. What was the song used in the video?

@kingdomoftheworm
The Song was his entrance song that he used for years (Bang Your Head) and the company that owns the rights, won't let me use it.

That was one of the most dramatic personality changes in wrestling. You'd never think he was the same guy from those earlier matches.

Nice tribute! I didn't realize he passed away. I loved the Missing Link character. R.I.P.

Interesting. He didn't come up with the "Missing Link" until he was nearly into his mid-40s.

Was Dewey's final match in OSPW? I remember seeing him at Civil War III but I had no idea it would be one of his final matches.
