Catherine seemed almost as upset about how it ended as Ashley did... Then again, if I were on and someone was over by that small of an amount, I'd feel like crap for them too.
This was taped shortly after the Porsche heartbreaker, but the sound board didn't seem to react the same way -- but maybe it's because it wasn't a Porsche. That long delay was deserved since one wanted to console the other.
There was one showcase I remember seeing (from 1999 I believe) when the contestant bid $12,000, and the actual retail price was....wait for it..... $11,999. Can't get any more painful then that.
Catherine was sure Ashley won. What they cut out in this clip is that Catherine had actually passed her showcase to Ashley because she had just bought a new house (and the showcase had a new kitchen, living room, and a car), and kept, in my opinion, a lame showcase. But Ashley lost her showcase in the end by $100 bucks. =(
I think these are the polar opposites of Double Showcase wins. Rather than winning for being close, you lose despite being so close.

Drew doesn't express that much pain as Bob used to do.

There was never a double showcase win on the 38th season, so they might as well change the DSW margin to $1000.

@rodney1279 Make it 3 since July 2nd, and the 1st DSW on Season 39 was on October 14 with a $202 difference.

@rodney1279 Make that 3, since July 2, 2010. BUT in Season 39, there were 4 DSW's so far.
