I was thinking about this game because i used to play it at the arcade when I was little. I was going to download it..but i dont want too anymore after this review. ;) thanks.

Before the days of easy online access for reviews, my friend and I loved and played this game all the time. Before the console Genesis release, we spent countless dollars at the arcade playing. To us and without comparison to anything else, it was the greatest game. We were so hardcore, that we got all the wings with the Gensis d-pad. Oh yeah

I think you're way overthinking it. We had this on the Sega and we had a hell of a fun time playing through it. Seriously, we had a blast playing 2 player on this game and we played through several times. I think you really need to review with more respect to the time the game was release, back then games didn't have much of a narrative at all.

Anyways I personally though this was a great game, especially for it's time.

I've been currently selling snes games. This one I might end up keeping, because it's so cheap that it's impossible to sell for anything. Like seriously this game only sells for like $2.00. Now don't you think this game is worth $2.00? I do! It's staying in my best of the best snes list.

@HL2STEAM In my humble opinion, Revolution X is just one of the best shooters ever put out in the arcade! So is this game kinda silly and stupid? Most definately. Are a lot of people gonna disagree with my opinion? Most likely. But nevertheless, I love this game, and if you're a shooting fan, you should definately play it!

This game on genesis is awesome because it supports the Sega Menacer, it's the only version of the game besides arcade that allows lightguns.

Yes in terms of visuals, it looks better, but the Super NES version has better audio and it's the overall better version compared to the Genesis version.

And @Nintendhoe:

Gameplay-wise, it's similar to T2: The Arcade Game.

It's a senseless game, but it was a novelty at the time. Overall, the best version of the game in terms of arcade-perfection would be the PC and the PSX version. But the REAL way to play it is in the arcade.

The silver thing on the helicopter is a weapon, and like with some large, weapon ridden bosses, you have to blow out each and every one of them, which will, for whatever reason, destroy the helicopter (or whatever the vehicle is) as well.

Awesome review, dude! But I wish people would figure out the difference between publishing and developing, because Acclaim is just a publisher, not a developer. Anyway, yeah, the SNES and Genesis ports of this game blew. But other than that, it's a guilty pleasure. And at least Kerri Hoskins is sexy, and she's present throughout almost every level. :)

ok all of you need to know this. I have the sega Genesis version of this game. If you think this looks bad your wrong the snes has better music voices that arent screechy and guess what, IN THE SEGA GENESIS VERSION THEY DONT SING! dammit I love aerosmith but it should atleast have singing and great music afterall this is a game based on a band. The sega genesis version is by far the worst the snes is ok the ps version a little better and the arcade version RULEZ!!!! :)
