We can't profit from the increase in our upgraded HDB flats' value unless we own two units or unless we are prepared to downgrade. The upgrading carrot is over-rated by the unthinking public and this allows the PAP to use it to their advantage.
I'd rather that the value drop by half so that all young couples can afford their own homes.
sometimes we think bigger.... upgrading.... ehmmmm we would also want a nation to become stronger and quality of life to be better. we are still doing fine without large scale upgrades~~~ upgrading is not a lure!

Low, Chiam and Sylvia are the reasons why Singapore is still a democratic society... They are definitely doing a much better job than the otherwise formed PAP-shadow cabinet.... Would it still be 'Workers Democratic Action Party' parliament after election 2011/2012 or would we have 'Reformed Workers Democratic Action Alliance' parliament ? Whatever the outcome....General Election 2011/2012 would Singapore's Event of the Year
mr low say pap is using our country fund to treatened singpaorean for hdb upgade i think i true if you don vote them you will get the same as hougang area .... but is hougang resident does not pay tax ? they do o so pay as same as pap ward resdent why they are being treat diff ??? let must try to give the oppsition a chance to prove them even if they not doing well for the next five year am sure pap will come back to win back .....
