The interviews with the widows of Rick Tolley and Nate Ruffin were so poignant. RIP to all of those who died in the crash (a day forever etched in my mind), as well as Nate Ruffin and Jack Hardin. Been away from Huntington too long...I want to go home.
@johnnyfive22 WEST Virginia. But that's okay...we get that all the time.
great movie. I am not even from Virginia and it had me emotional at a couple of scenes. One of my favorite movies. Very touching. I lost it when Matthew started crying in the locker room.
i agree this touched my heart in so many different ways i can never understand the pain that they felt/feel you no..yea and i agree doesnt matter how much it made wat matters if they got the moral.point across and they did
(3of3) It's great to have a wonderful movie of this caliber to enjoy during this very difficult time in the world. This movie is playing on my cable right now, I've seen it 5 times and have recorded it on DVD. I tear up every time I see it. Hollywood did good, thank you.
(2of3)So many emotions would be involved in all of it. Loosing people to illness might be easier but and overnight loss like the town had to deal with, such gut wrenching stuff. This movie tells the story of a town that rose up and kept plugging until it got back what it lost, it's football team.
(1of3)I can only imagine the pain involved in dealing with 75 funerals, the loss of a football team except for 3 varsity players and sophomore players. Having to take a chance, start the recruiting for a team. Ask the National Football Association to change the rules so they could recruit freshman to rebuild the team.
