  • What album is this on?

  • You know church is not like this anymore WOW this would be a better world if ppl would stop playing with the LORD.....I really felt this in my HEART and SOUL......Thank You for the post

  • This is the kinds of songs that planted the seeds of faith in my life that have sustained me for 60+ years. I love this takes me back.

  • you know what a yock is...it sits on water...lol

  • I love Inez Andrews they just don't have Gospel singers like her anymore. I don't know what this world is headed for but the Gospel music of our time cannot draw a soul!

  • i thank you for posting-it inspires me so much! thanx again for postingi this!!

  • I love old Baptist Hymnals... I could care less for the new gospel music styles. I like church to be traditional.

  • Ohhh this is my song... I just love the Caravans...

  • Inez looks right mean in those old pics...like she bout ready to cuss somebody out or knock somebody out...

  • I know Sallie Martin would be at the top of that list. lol

  • @MethodistPreacher

    Mean? ;o)

    I'd say she looks regal.

  • man if i would have seen them tell the story in church we would have got put out from lol

  • dat YOCK ov'er daaeh! amend amend!

  • ahahahahah @ YOCK!!! Why u go there!? LOL!!

  • Sorry I couldn't let that one go! LOL!

  • Y'all see that Yock?

  • You know you aint right for what one! LOL

  • what in da world is a yock..lol?

  • she really is sayin yacht ha ha ha YOCK!!

  • Now you know Inez is straight form the country! I've always wondered why when she sung Mary don't you weep, she always put an extra ed on drowned. Got drowned-ed. But that song has made her a legend!!!

  • The older arrangements of Mary Don't You Weep by other artists also said "drowneded" too. I think there's a video on YouTube from 1929 of some black guys singing Mary Don't You Weep, and I think they said drowneded.

  • @DaSourcespr06 A boat for rich people or at least for someone who can afford it.

  • OMG, LOL. How about Eddie? It just ain't right for a man to utter the words "see my dress I'm wearin' lawd Jesus", lol.

  • that wasn't Eddie, that was Albertina

  • I'm pretty certain that was Eddie.

  • LOL u are so crazy but you're telling the truth!!!

  • Lol! U wrong. HAHAHA!

  • is albertina dat alto

  • go head Inez u betta sing

  • I love this...Reminds me of Oh Mary Don't You Weep by The Caravans.

  • DaSourcespr06,

Absolutely terrific!! This is my first time hearing this incredible selection. Thanks for posting this.

  • No problem! I am glad you got a blessing!

  • @pob406 She's talking about a boat

  • All Right Now!! Yo Eddie Was Really Loving that Mic I could hardly hear the rest of them, but none the less it was still Wonderful! Yo Delores and Johneron was KILLIN that soprano!! lOl Go head 5 Stars!

  • I know! hahaha! He was all up on da mic! But i love Albertina's run at the end, ppl be sleepin on Tina, but she IS and WASNT nothing to be messed with, she was a beast!!

  • Yo Albertina Wasn't playing with that Run She push that Out!!! Im not madd at her!! She can still do them 'runs'

  • And u know! Ohhhhhhh I wish people would quit sleeping on Albertina, she may not be able to run all over the place like back then, but man, if some of the younger audience could look past the sound of these recordings as being "old school", and listen for the anointing, they would get such a blessing!

  • Eddie said OMG, a mic! They hardly give me the mic. I'd better milk this for all it's worth!

  • lmbo!

  • I'm still listening to this one over and over, this is the JAM! HOLD ON!

  • So glad u enjoy it bruh!

  • It's amazing that so many divinely talented vocalists could come together and make such brilliant music without egos getting in the way of the ultimate purpose, that being instruments of God. Their voices never blended...each was distinguishable on the records and in performance, and often each had some sort of solo, but it always worked perfectly.

  • You better squall Inez! Lisen at Tina in the cut holdin it down. Eddie sound good but I think he could've been less in the mic lol.

  • I agree Eddie was lovin that mic

  • LMBO!.Good Lord yes! He was lovin that mic!

  • LOL! Ik now right

  • Inez is in the praising mood on this one!

  • lol..i know what u mean bruh, I was bout to go shout up a church when Albertina did that sanctified run at the end, i felt God in that bad boy!

  • I've just been listening to this one all the time now, everyone was just holding it down in this song, especially Johneron Davis and Delores Washington with their sopranos. Listen to them repeat "Hold On" at the end with Albertina's runs in between, just perfect!

  • I agree..i think this is one of the most passionate songs that the Caravans did. Dont get me wrong, they were all full of emotion and conviction, but on this one, it was more raw!

  • that was GREAT! Inez and Eddie made me want to flip some pews with their leads!
