I love Gil Noble for his vast archive/knowledge of history and how it's relevant today. I saw this particular clip recently like December and I was so pleased with it.

The whole show (Like it is w. Gil Noble on ABC 12pm in NYC) was done quite well. I drew inspiration from dignified Hazel Scott to seeing parallels today of current treatment of politicians. INSIGHTFUL!

Brother Powell was for the rights of Africans in Harlem and he organised so many things for us, including when he encouraged the hospital in Harlem, to employ more African nurses and doctors.

I'm so upset that I'm 25 just learning about all of the great AfAm leaders during reconstruction and the cold war i.e. A Philip Randolph and Adam Clayton Powell Jr., cause teachers dont teach us about them in Us History in High School. Schools need to broaden the curriculum so we all can have a open-mind about where we come from!!!!!!!

@abinniss Not necessarily so. A.C. Powell, Jr. had a jealous streak, and may have thought that he should've been the first black president instead of Obama. Afterall, Powell called MLK "Martin LOSER King."
