I heard Hilary Hahn perform this piece last night with Jaap van Zwedon and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and it was spectacular...she was spectacular. She is technically amazing with a musicality that is captivating and a tone that enchants.
Behzad Ranjbaran is my favorite living composer. Listen to his Persian Trilogy. And John Williams is definitely my favorite living film composer and probably the best film composer, but film music is incomparable to concert music.
I love your music. :) It's truly an inspiration. And it's so wonderful that you're ready to step forward to share your personality trough youtube and trough your journal as a happy young human being and not just as a music icon. You have the capability to make people blossom (with soulful Bach f.ex.). Respect. Wish you could come to perform in Finland. :)
oh they got their gold medal. in the form of the pulitzer prize in music.

I think it's Barber because I met Jennifer and she said she got a lot of inspiration from Barber's violin concerto.

Jennifer Higdon is by far the greatest living composer alive. :D And Hilary Hahn has got to be the greatest violinist. When they meet, magic happens!

I actually think that Arvo Pärt or Einojuhani Rautavaara is the greatest living composer.
