The joke was merely about how Obama clearly isn't liked by people at the NRA, due to bitter comment as well as being liberal. It wasn't funny, but that doen't make it offensive.

No it wasn't funny, and YES it was offensive. (not racist, but absolutely offensive). Martin Luther King, Malcom x, Medger Evers,Huey P Newton,Bobby Seal i can go on and on they were all assasinated and black so call it what u will but we know racist comments when we see them. He could have joked about baracks position on guns but he joked about him being black and not wanting to be assasinated.

yes, Assassinations are terrible, but it isn't a joke about, "him being black," merely because other African American's were assassianted? lots of people were assassinated in the 60's, not all black, such as the Kennedy's and many jewish lawyers.

This is in reference to Obama's offensive comment about bitter people who cling to their guns and their religion. Did Obama apologize for those comments? This obviously was not wishing him to be shot, this was in reference to Obama's fear of Bible bearing, gun toting, God fearing people.
You know kw, if that actually was a spontaneous "joke" I'd be willing to call it a simple Freudian slip. But it doesn't look spontaneous. It looks like it was premeditated, the way he delivers his lines. There was no pause to formulate the story, and besides, the story was too elaborate. And instead of a punchline, there is just this pointless ending.
Actually it did have one point: a gun being aimed at Barack Obama. He needs to be taken in for questioning.
