For the most part I am a huge GE fan "imagination at work", but this video is quite disappointing... Not in sync at all with what people want in nowadays. Technology should made things simple and not "hawai fancy"... For the most part families want to go back to a time where they could dine together a fresh cooked healthy meal... why can't my fridge tell me what it has inside, and shoot me an email with 3 healthy recipes that can be prepared in 15/30 minutes... Save me time, eliminate waste!
@avj00sder You never know what will be in the future. Fifty years ago, if you showed someone a smartphone they would most likely react just like you, but look where we are today. And I think some of the things shown in this video will most likely come true, like voice control and self-cleaning.
What a totally annoying behemoth. It gives me a headach just watching it. All this would do is create more work for me. I like my 1929 GE Monitor Top just fine, thanks. 80 years old this year and it's never had a single breakdown.
Damn right, malfunctions. I have a totally electronic GE wall oven from 1992 that turned on by itself cuz the computer control board was zapped and became prone with errors. Like I need a computer to turn my cooktop on and off. Sheesh.
Yeah, untill you have one of those really hilarious Replicator Malfunctions that gives you all kinds of disgusting slop instead of the meal you wanted! And if you eat too much of it, it causes Gigantism!
I am wondering what kinds of crashes will this give... I believe system crashes should be more interesting as a feedback and there should be more hilarious system crash feedbacks. Just like what google has attempted... "Better Luck Next Time" etc etc...
in the ge future kitchen they get rid of the humans and only their reflection remains lol

Is this a computer generated moddle of a concept home or is this real?
crawford6099 3 years ago
why do we have all these cool concepts yet everyone still puts crown molding on the walls? I think Americans who invented modern lost the vision

Great comment! Crown molding indeed.

If we rediscover this video in 50 years, we'll ask ourselves "what were they thinking?". This is right up there with the flying cars.

what about who have a stuttering problem and can't communicate properly to the compuer or what ever it is

Then may be you should forget about the frosted food and cold drinks this time... Have a cold coffee and go to corner shop to satisfy your appetite.

this would be great for small places
after you ged done cooking with it you can watch the game on it ,it would also be the big screen tv

It all looks fun and easy
but if it were your kitchen it would be crashing like windows xp.
An example of flash over substance otherwise known as bad design.

@yourrich never use Windows® in system critical applications. That's what gnu/linux is for. Duh.

They show the people that way so that they can show you how it works without having them get in the way.
