If the whole movie had been the quality of this chase scene, it would have been another classic. Kinda fell apart in the second half. Still enjoyed it though.
OK, nothing can beat old good Indiana Jones films of the 80's but this one was great as well. It represents modern Adventure movie with a lot of action scenes. Harrison Ford, my lovely Karen Allen, Shia LaBeouf and John Hurt did wonderfully brilliant job.
actually no one sed pancho vella spoke peruvian, what he meant was some of his homies who werent mex spoke peruvian! n the music n wasnt rencheras it sounded more like a latino comercial !
Well, actually the opening sequence of Raiders of the Lost Ark is more of a tribute to The Treasure Sierra Madre. When Indy and his "guides" get to the temple entrance, they start betraying him.
Of course Aliens exist. That voodoo guy would not exist at all.I mean pulling out hearts?,People surviving without there hearts?Crystall Skull was good.
(2of2)Harrison still has what it takes, Indy's a little stumbling and makes some errors in judgment but very human. There's not an ounce of fat on Harrison. Shia is great, handsome young man. The return of Marion was great. And that great John Williams soundtrack, photography and especially the falls. I've seen it twice, there might be a 3rd.
(1of2)That 50's wardrobe, Buster Brown shoes, bobby socks, long hair and those awful skirts. I love the old cars and of course there's Indy's great hat. I never saw any of the previous movies until they came on TV. I went to see this one because I heard they let Indy be human.
There's a lot of fake positive reviews of this movie. Crystal Skull was the worst in the whole series. I don't know anyone who actually saw the movie and liked it.
I really loved all of them and the fourth one is fantastic! Harrison is 65 you can't expect him to be same when he was in the lost arc. All the small humor and everything. The movie was awesome!
I'm sorry that everyone else is so upset about Indy IV, but I loved it! It's not nearly as good as Raiders and Temple of Doom were, but I almost liked it better than the Last Crusade....

Just saw the movie today - the scenes in CT only got a few minutes of screen time, but of what there was of CT footage that green & yellow New Britain bus at 2:13 was seen easily in the motorcycle chase scene.
Don't trust anyone who sais this was a bad movie, in my opinion, it was one of the best movies i have ever seen. It was absolutely great. Yes, there are "aliens" in the movie, but it's like a two row comment in a 200 pages book. The adventure is at its place and the storyline is incredibly good. AWSOME MOVIE
I've heard on boards and from insiders from entertainment networks that Shia's character is suppose to be the "love child" of Henry (Indy) Jones Jr and Marion, the lady friend from "Raiders..." They've also said that if an Indy 5 film were to be made, that Shia's character would play a bigger role whereas Indiana Jones himself would be more like Sean Connery's character from The Last Crusade.
I am so happy that John Hurt is going to be in this movie, he's like my favorite actor of all times. Sad that you didn't get any pictures of him though..
To get pictures like these, you need to be part of the crew, right? So, being part of the crew, you could know the entire script of the movie, right? That is so awesome!
In New Haven, regular fans were able to watch the filming take place on the grounds of Yale University. Check out my other videos for more behind the scenes shots from CT.

I know... but it's just sad that we're loosing all these great actors that made these great movies, These are the classics that you never forget. I'm still waiting for the next classic, but more then likely- it will never come.
You know, it is going to be a sad day for movies when John Williams passes away. He is by far the best composer of movie soundtracks in my opinion. His music is already modern classics. I know Williams is old but I hope God grants him many more years on this earth for us to enjoy his brilliance.
Or maybe Indiana Jones and the Old man with the whip! (since harrison ford is getting terribly old :() Im not saying indiana jones sucks i actually like it...
Steven Spielberg did JAWS, E.T. and Jurassic Park. These three films each became the highest grossing movies of all time (but were each later out done be another movie, but none the less). Anyways, JAWS was the 70's, E.T. was the 80's and Jurassic Park was 90's. I hope this movie now becomes the highest grossing movie of all time. Then Steven Spielberg will have made four movies that have each become the highest grossing and one for each of the decades!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The box office on this will rival Jurassic Park, Star Wars, and E.T., and the opening weekend will break records the way Spider-Man and Pirates of the Caribbean did.
If it's really a good film, on top of that, it may break all previous box office records.
It's funny that people comment on harrison ford's age, when the age difference and dynamic between father and son is what made the Last Crusade the most successful Indiana Jones. Of course Indiana will be older, yet not as old as his father in Last Crusade.. and he did quite well with action in that film.
I liked the new Rambo. It was much closer to First Blood and the original Rambo character. I also thought the blood and guts was kinda tame compared to many other modern movies. Just look at movies like Saving Private Ryan, Smoking Aces, Shoot Em Up, and all the tarantino stuff, etc.
At least Tarantino's stuff has a PLOT. And DEPTH. Let's forget about Kill Bill (part II anyways): Most of Tarantino's work is taking amazing characters and placing them in a magical realism meets grindhouse-style exploitation film setting. The result is a really interesting and funny gimmick of life. I'd rather see that kind of film than a formulaic, PG-13 action movie any day.
Not at all, but the last one and I suspect this one were (/will be) formulaic. Once the plot is "dead" the characters are less than intriguing. Raiders was great: Jones was new. Temple was great too: actually a pretty good schtick. No new progress with the character has been made since nor do I suspect it will be.
its quite strange seeing a 50s set instead of WWII era surroundings. I really hope they can pull this off without turning it into horrible plasticy hollywood garbage fodder. I'm sure Harrison Ford and Spielberg wouldn't let it happen, but u never know with Lucas :S
i think it's interesting to see how things are in the new movie's time compared to the "classic indy" time period of the 30's and think about how much things have changed between the last movie in 1989 and now
I still can't believe that THAT many people saw that Rambo movie. I guess people need their ultra-violent fix. Anyway, about Indiana Jones, I was hoping that Shia La Beouf would play Indy's son, as they do look alike. This is one of the few movies I'm looking forward to this year, this and The Dark Knight. I hope both live up to the expectations...
Actually lilflip 1993- Indiana Jones took place in the late 1930's and early 1940's- Just as the Nazi regime was rising- Watch Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Lucas and Spielberg delivers when it comes to Indiana Jones. Even when Harrison Ford is old, the movie is realistic in that way Only Cartoons doesnt get old! It is good to see the Indy gang back.
Cant wait for May for this movie. The long wait should be worth it.
Finally even though this is an oldie... a good movie. I dont know if anyone noticed but theres a lot of really low quality movies until May 22... really really bad movies.
I know you're only 14, but I am amazed that in this day of cable TV, video, DVD, movies on-line, that somehow not only have you have NOT seen any of the films in this series, but you have not even heard of the series. I cannot help but feel that you are putting me on! However, if you are sincere, please do yourself a favor and see at LEAST the first one, Raiders of the Lost Ark. Great movie!
If the whole movie had been the quality of this chase scene, it would have been another classic. Kinda fell apart in the second half. Still enjoyed it though.

If it's really a good film, on top of that, it may break all previous box office records.

its ford and lucas and spielberg, its going to be good

You're drinkin way too much Indy Kool-Aid. It might make a 100 mil opening but it's not breakin any records.

It's funny that people comment on harrison ford's age, when the age difference and dynamic between father and son is what made the Last Crusade the most successful Indiana Jones. Of course Indiana will be older, yet not as old as his father in Last Crusade.. and he did quite well with action in that film.

the film will be amazing..

I was impressed by the Trailer. Even if he is old, the effects and actions from the trailer made me over see his age.

In the new movie, the Academia is going to kick the US government butt ;)

I liked the new Rambo. It was much closer to First Blood and the original Rambo character. I also thought the blood and guts was kinda tame compared to many other modern movies. Just look at movies like Saving Private Ryan, Smoking Aces, Shoot Em Up, and all the tarantino stuff, etc.
vanion100 4 years ago
At least Tarantino's stuff has a PLOT. And DEPTH. Let's forget about Kill Bill (part II anyways): Most of Tarantino's work is taking amazing characters and placing them in a magical realism meets grindhouse-style exploitation film setting. The result is a really interesting and funny gimmick of life. I'd rather see that kind of film than a formulaic, PG-13 action movie any day.
GrungeWerewolf 4 years ago
...and the Indiana Jones franchise has never had a film with a plot?
BetterThanYou11 4 years ago
Not at all, but the last one and I suspect this one were (/will be) formulaic. Once the plot is "dead" the characters are less than intriguing. Raiders was great: Jones was new. Temple was great too: actually a pretty good schtick. No new progress with the character has been made since nor do I suspect it will be.
GrungeWerewolf 4 years ago
Rambo sorta had a plot.
wait what are we arguing about?
this movie looks awesome.
So far most of the old franchise brought back movies have rocked!
Grindhouse brought back... the grindhouse
Live Free or Die Hard... Die Hard
Transformers... the transformers
Rambo... brought back Rambo
Rocky... brought back Rocky
This looks like it'll rock seeing how awesome those movies were
sofakingHansen 4 years ago 2
IMHO all those movies sucked. Grindhouse was O.K., but I expected a little funnier.

keep yur opinions to yourself then...
Those were my favorite movies of the year

its quite strange seeing a 50s set instead of WWII era surroundings. I really hope they can pull this off without turning it into horrible plasticy hollywood garbage fodder. I'm sure Harrison Ford and Spielberg wouldn't let it happen, but u never know with Lucas :S

Steven Spielberg
Writers:
David Koepp (screenplay)
George Lucas (story)

Steven Spielberg made his share of mistakes too, Although Lucas did make Howard the Duck :D

it was actually more like WWI era; and i'm they'll pull this off

Are u sure about that? WWII is Hitler and the Nazis. WWI Hitler hadn't come to power yet even as a chancellor, he was a soldier in WWI.
But yes, I'm feeling a lot more optimistic about this film being a gd one :)

no the first 3 is actually before america entered WWII, but after WWI

i think it's interesting to see how things are in the new movie's time compared to the "classic indy" time period of the 30's and think about how much things have changed between the last movie in 1989 and now
metallicakixtotalass 4 years ago
At least he hasnt gone the sylverster stallone path and attempted to revive Indy a youthful individual... (the new rambo movie SUCKED)
hammerofdawn1092 4 years ago
I still can't believe that THAT many people saw that Rambo movie. I guess people need their ultra-violent fix. Anyway, about Indiana Jones, I was hoping that Shia La Beouf would play Indy's son, as they do look alike. This is one of the few movies I'm looking forward to this year, this and The Dark Knight. I hope both live up to the expectations...
