  • The fact that its silly is actually part of the story--the big serious Starfleet officers don't want to jump around like a stupid little kid, but its the only way to 'move along home'.

  • Actually, it is a good Star Trek episode.

  • love this episode

  • To those of you who have not watched DS9 but for this clip: It gets better, I promise!

  • Every copy of this episode should be taken out and burned.

  • This is what Star Trek: Nemesis should have been like

  • lol

  • ALLAH AKBAR - I mean, Allamaraine.

  • @airwolfman lol.

  • thats a good security lock for the doors

  • Should've added the scene where Bashir gets grilled by the forcefield :>. ^^

  • Seems to me this is a script leftover from Lost in Space, rather than DS9.

Quark as Dr. Smith, Odo as the Robot, etc.

  • Sisko's the man!

  • Definitely the worst episode of Deep Space Nine.

Well, maybe the one with Rumpelstiltskin was worse.

  • Is it just me or did it look like Kira was thinking "If I hear fucking alamaraine one more fucking time someone is going to fucking die!"

  • If only Worf were there.

  • @YuesWoman or Tuvok or seven of nine

  • this so funny. love DS9

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • The episode pretty much sucked, except maybe this one scene. At least this one was funny enough to make me smile at Sisko's pronounciation and facial expressions.

  • I love Dr. Bashir's look at the beginning of "Get me out of this hell hole Sisko!! I don't wanna sing!!!"

  • When I first watched this, I was just waiting for Kira to get zapped for not singing the rhyme with enough gusto.

  • Better than the VOY warp ten episode!

  • @EDSKaR ANYTHING is better than threshold

  • @EDSKaR Just to remind you: That. Episode. Did. Not. Happen.

  • "Move Along Home" is one of DS9's worst eps.

  • I started doing this at work once. Oddly enough, my coworkers joined in. Needless to say, we made it to the third shap.

  • The tone Kira was saying the rhyme in? That's the way I feel when I am forced to play with young children.

  • Thank God they had a bloody, destructive war later on....

  • I'm so glad the show evolved past this, lol...

  • @coffeecyclist It didn't evolve that far past this.

  • i wished for jem hadar to just barge in and rape dax while the others watched..

  • @ODOMAN123 thats stupid, jem hadar dont have sex

  • @Ziegbod just because they dont reproduce sexually, it doesn't mean they cannot rape... in which case, we're talking about the most horrifying fighting force the alpha quadrant has ever seen, guilty of many crimes, but not rape? lol... ya man jem hadar raped a lot of little fed bitches in their time..

  • @ODOMAN123 The jem hadar only care about fighting, why would they even bother raping. And considering how there a genetically altered race made in birthing chambers maybe there genderless lol

  • @Ziegbod k no they're not genderless, infact there's an episode about their history not being cloned or being addicted to the white.. they're bred ultimately to have control over them and genetically needing the white, the fighting stuff comes after.. but in order to have an effective fighting force and as genocidal as the dominion, you would employ every tactic involved, and if that means raping women heck even men, then so be it.. they were horny and yes a pun was intended.. lol

  • @ODOMAN123 Why would the Founders give them the ability to have sex. It would benefit them in no way

  • @RedonYellow2 the founders and dominion in general and how they conducted warfare had a lot to do with brutal tactics. during the 2nd battle of chintocka, they had the option of destroying a lot if not all the escape pods, but the 'non beneficial' decision as you so keenly pointed out, was to let them escape... rape would fall in the same synchronized way of spreading fear in their enemy's camp.. besides, in all fun, dickless jem hadar as opposed to gang banger horse dick jem hadar?

  • Best scene ever.

  • Star Trek meets Sesame Street

  • OK, for the record, it was a WTF scene of a WTF episode anyways!

  • Keep pressing #4...

  • our acting saved us

  • I wish I was stoned when I watched this episode

  • Everybody is being retarded and judging the show on this scene yea it's one of the worst episodes but the series is great why don't you watch the later seasons when there is war and stuff see if it sucks then

  • @psychfanatic22 They introduced the war arc because the show was boring.

  • I really didn't need to feel any more shame for watching Star Trek...

  • "Move Along Home" where this scene is from is one of my favorite stories from the earlier years of the series. There was just the nice combo of old series ideas with a new twist to keep it fun. I can imagine though for the poor cast this took a few tries to get it right.

Do notice one flick flub - Kira has five fingers up with the com or some sort of item for the "then three more" meaning she didn't do it right.

  • In the words of everyone who saw that episode "What the fuck is this shit? And what the fuck was in that drink?"

  • Love kira's face at the end of the rhyme!

  • Reasons why the first seasons of all shows are best to be avoided

  • @hunterg24 the truth

  • @hunterg24 I always skip the first 20 episodes of every show, specifically because of thing like this.

  • Wow, Dax totally sat that one out.

  • @AeronPeryton

    na she did it first

  • @AeronPeryton Dax did it first, before this vid started

  • This was a good WTF! I had a good WTF moment watching DS9 when that Vedek hung herself in front of a huge crowd on the promenade in season 6 while the Dominion controlled the station.

  • the 'WTF' bit in the title refers to what the cast said when they read the script...

  • Actually, this was the only part of the episode that made sense. The rest of it was completely bats**t.

  • One of the worst episodes in the entire series.

  • @thenfm Words cannot describe... Your comment is sublime. Stupid Cunt Trek indeed. Stupid Cunt Trek, everybody.

  • @DomesticApe I voted you up and voted thenfm down. Why? BECAUSE.

  • @CressCrowbits shut up stupid cunt

  • @thenfm That's clever. You should write for Hollywood.

  • @MrSinister1979 I like writing on your mom's back with my DNA pen. So does she.

  • @thenfm Oh, a "your mom" insult. How original.

I feel really sad for you that you couldn't think up even a half-decent comeback, and had to resort to something so tired and lame instead.

  • first time I saw this I was completely baked... needless to say I wasn't disappointed.

  • If I saw this happen I'd shoot myself out of an airock.

  • no wonder why Picard facepalms soo much in this series...

  • @pedinhuh16 This is Deep Space Nine, not "The Next Generation." Picard appears in a couple of episodes, but he's not in the entire series. ;)

  • love it! Sisko actually got into it while Bashir and Keira where just thinking "For fuck sake!" got to love DS9

  • That would be a time I would turn a phaser on full setting on myself

  • When people talk about how great DS9 is, it's ALWAYS about this episode... not.

  • Avery Brooks looks ashamed of himself for doing that.

  • Haha kira looks the best. Looks like what any sane normal person would look like having to do that....she's like "I fought cardasian occupation, lost my parents, home, life being a potential artist for THIS SHIT!!!?

    Lol

  • This was almost as weird as that episode when Picard had to take care of those little children in the turbolift.... or even when Picard got turned into a kid himself...

  • I think Nana Visitor was actually enjoying herself there!

  • I can't make it through this clip. Too much second-hand embarrassment ^^;

  • kira looks the funniest

  • @teewhy1977 lmao you're she does look funny...if they did that at the con...everybody will laugh their ass off out loud

  • That proves it. DS9 is much better when smoking pot.

  • Drugs?

  • Its hopscotch

  • Love Bashir :D

  • Coolest episode ever! :D

  • Great show but the first 2 seasons were absolute garbage.

  • Great show but the first 2 seasons were absolute garbage.

  • I think I feel the worst for Major Kira, probably had to vaporize 3 Cardassians just to get the memory of this event out of her head.

  • @erentheca Vaporize and then smoke the remains in a bong

  • The only justification for this episode's existence was the line near the end when they were all surprised they were unharmed after being 'killed' in the game, and Falow said something like, "Of course. It's only a game!" Realizing that we viewers had been pwned by the same assumption that they were in mortal danger made me LOL.

  • Yes W.T.F

  • I don't even think this is the worst episode of season one, you know. There were plenty of alien-of-the-week episodes less entertaining and memorable.

  • "Explain the high casualitys in the battle for Cradassia"!

"Well I decided to start with a fleet-wide Alamarain manover", "it was all down hill from there"....

  • that's such a sweeet scene, I can't stop watching it :)

oh, and I didn't know that Sisko got such a lovely voice. but Kira sounded a bit unmotivated ^^

  • Alamarain Count To 4.

Alamarain Then 3 More. Alamarain If You Can See.

    Alamarain Youll Come With Me.

Lol love it what a classic xD

  • Comment removed

  • [Door opens]... Alamarain!

  • I crack up everytime I hear Sisko say the rhyme.

  • Move along home, ds9 is my favorite. Great characters and love the station, seemed like a mall

  • Is it me or did Kira hit herself in the head with the tricorder?

  • Yeah she said it like a lesbian!

  • I think Kira put the most effort into it! LOL

  • The fact that I was 12 when I first saw this episode and still remember the song at age 24 really means something LOL. I really enjoy DS9, and this was one of the most memorable. I miss Jadzia in the later seasons. Ezri is cool and all but Jadzia def. Brought something extra. The defiant will always be my favorite vessel. Vetic Barile was the hottest, next to Julian.

  • LOL ME TOOO!!!!!!!

  • @beaugar22

I like Jadzia but I find Ezri hotter. I actually got to see Ezri Dax at Comic-Con last year and she was with Harry Kim from Voyager. I was getting Harry Kim's autograph and he was a very nice guy! I also wanted to get Ezri's too but I believe she was done giving autographs! I even got Data's and got a picture taken with him and Spock's autograph too! :D

  • @beaugar22

Oh Star Trek: TNG is my most favorite out of all 6 series if you include the animated series but overall I love all of them even TNG is the one I love the most. I have been watching Star Trek since I was 4 when TNG started in 1987. I watched it with my dad and including the reruns of TOS.

  • @TheStarTreker 5 series...

  • @TheStarTreker ohh nevermind, didnt read the rest of your sentence

  • This episode is good.

  • This was one of the worst DS9 episodes they made. You are a cruel person for subjecting people to it.

  • This was hilarious! And you could tell they felt silly, but they were going to have fun with it.

  • @PeachWookiee Agreed! I was laughing out loud, rolling on the floor starting when Sisko first said "Almaraine"

  • @SakuraLuvsWesleyC And Sisko probably had to do a lot of silly things in the name of fatherhood.

  • @PeachWookiee Yeah. I was totally thinking that. Bashir and Kira never really had a child of their own. I just loved Sisko's emotion. This was the only time that Bashir was a buzzkill on this. otherwise, he's SOOOOOOOOOO HOTT!!!!! (well...a mix between hot and adorably cute)

  • This is probably the moment Nana Visitor regretted getting on DS9.

  • yeah Quark did not set it up. A new alien race they encountered boards the station and automatically goes to Quarks to play Dabo. When they realize that they are being cheated, they set up their own game that Quark has to play, the players are actually the 4 members of the crew and they have to find their way out

  • The game isn't set up by Quark.

  • Is it just me or have views of this video spiked lately?

  • This was the first DS9 episode I ever saw...definitely gave me the wrong idea. *LOL*

  • why you watching it??

  • If you hate DS9 you must love this clip... because it's the complete opposite of most of the series. Resembles the worst moments of TOS.

  • Yes, this episode was very TOS.

  • Comment removed

  • Well if you're talking about the colour of the sets then yeah but not much more than that.

  • The aliens are very TOS too I think.

  • Lol, this episode always make me laugh XD

  • Dr. Bashir is a good singer :D

  • i think the writers were smoking somthing nasty when they thought this up.

  • Maybe the writers figured they had a bunch of really tough episodes, really serious, so they'd sort of let things get a bit giddy here.

  • DS9 WTF, indeed. lol

  • You know if you saw this one and I have....Dax did the Rhyming but she didn't sing. You see you could not get through that room unless you did that. Otherwise a forcefield would hit them. At least they were not in the dark tower of Rasalon on Gallifrey. You had to know the mathamatical equation of PI to get through otherwise you would be dead.

  • I think the appropriate phrase is LOLWHUT?

  • You have to watch every episode in order to get an understanding of all the characters and to sense what the whole situation is about. There are some episodes where the plot goes off track, that's when we have to endure the Alamarang and such like. It's just a marketing ploy to stretch out each episode. The more episodes the more money, and a Star Trek fan will buy all episodes even the bad ones and the makers know this.

  • now now be nice :)

  • I had a friend telling me to watch all of DS9 because "its more serious then shows like Battlestar"

When I saw this I spat my drink out all over the monitor.

  • Ds9 isn't as serious as Battlestar, but it's close. Same executive producer. This is just a bad episode early on in the run before they knew wtf they were doing, ignore it.

  • "You out your left foot in, yo put your left foot out, you put your left foot in and you shake it all about..."

Get Londo in from Babylon 5 for a hokey pokey party! =)

I remember this episode, was pretty wild and surreal!

  • "Hey Captain Sisko, we're about to charge headfirst into an army of Jem'Hadar warships, our fleet is outnumbered three-to-one and we have no reinforcements coming."

"Well, it could be worse. Remember that 'Alamarang' bullshit?"

    "Duly noted, sir."

  • lol

  • @SuperSaiyanAl You sir, win the comments page *nods*

  • loooooooooool

  • GAY

  • "Move Along Home" Ahahahaha!!!! I love how there is a huge discomfort about this scene.

  • i was never a fan of DS9

  • FYI if you ever got past a few horrid episodes in the first seasons like this one... the final 3 or 4 seasons of DS9 have Immense payoff... truly the best seasons of trek.

  • after this episode i stopped watching ds9. i only resumed watching it in season 4 when i saw that it became a really good show

  • well you're probably right....i really should give it a second chance. I used to watch it occasionally and never really liked it. But I haven't seen A LOT of the episodes so i couldn't even review the series as a whole. When I get some time, I want to go back and watch it and see what I think about it now.

  • the first two seasons were really bad so just start watching from season 3 (actually from the last episode of seaon 2) because that's when the show started to get good.

seaon 4 onward it became excellent and the best Trek series in my opinion

  • Well there are a bunch of season 1 and 2 episodes you need to see both because they are good and they introduce plot elements. But yes, those seasons are largely pretty lame and also inconsequential with many bottle episodes.

  • Must see from 1 and 2:

1x01/2 Emissary, 1x03 Past Prologue, 1x08 Dax, 1x11 The Nagus, 1x12 Vortex, 1x13 Battle Lines, 1x15 Progress, 1x19 Duet (series classic), 1x20 In The Hands of the Prophets

2x01 The Homecoming, 2x02 The Circle, 2x03 The Siege, 2x05 Cardassians, 2x08 Necessary Evil (series classic), 2x14 Whispers, 2x19 Blood Oath, 2x20/21 The Maquis, 2x22 The Wire, 2x23 Crossover, 2x24 The Collaborator, 2x26 The Jem'Hadar

  • Bashir at the start: 'Fucking hell Sisko needs to clean his ears...'

  • *LMAO* Best caption ever!

  • I agree look at HIS FACE LOL

  • Rofl!

  • lol, i see that to

  • LOL!

  • *LOL*

  • I liked this episode ;-; It was cute

  • "DOUBLE THEIR PERIL, DOUBLE YOUR WINNINGS!!!"

Funny how the Wadi race was completely forgotten after this episode...

  • ALAMARAIN.

  • A lot of people consider this the worst episode of season 1.

    Gee, I wonder why...

  • it's the worst episode of the entire series

  • The way The Sisko sings the first line just makes me piss myself laughing

  • hilarious. not only is the dancing funny but please look at sisko trying not to laugh both before and after they do the dance!

  • Can you imagine Worf having to do this song? That would have been funny!

  • I can see him now! "Klingons *don't* dance and sing!" :P

  • lmao I loved this scene for its awfulness. Avery Brooks, so far in the show, had only been like -_- most of the time. Then when this scene happened, he was so into it that I couldn't help but laugh. Nana Visitor did a wonderful job, though, of showing Major Kira's personality here. She's like "I'll do this because it needs to be done, but you can't make me like it!"

  • loll

  • Terrible episode.
