  • Tragic but then I guess it depends if you take these "VOTING" results are really meaning anything more than people pressed a button - those same people may represent the most common denominator, who listen to the most common music yadda. Meh it's all ego and titles - I prefer to focus on just finding and hearing AWESOME MUSIC!.

  • How come Sander Kleinenberg wasn't even in the top 100 ?

    Fucking sad

  • David Guetta coming 2nd just proves this is happening... WHAT A JOKE !!!

  • Its so true !

  • This list is jacked up..no doubt....Mat Zo isn't on top >:(

  • you think that armin is in the no1 spot because he's messin up with the votes?

The best and the biggest are in d top10 so I don't really see cheating

correct me if im wrong but i don't believe that putting a dj in the 2nd place & putting another dj in the 4th place make any difference between them. it's only the first one that makes the difference. So since I'm seeing above&beyond in d same place as last year & andy moor going up only 3 places i don't think this works, but we'll see this time

  • Above & Beyond and or their 'supoorters' are the real culprits. Clever viral marketing with Clive Rudloe videos etc as maybe...but look under the surface and delve into the murky world of these sites and you see other campaigns an vote recruiting 'work from home' jobs and their name in prominent in many.

  • I don't vote any more since they lack of a functional anti cheat system

  • If you want to be a top100 dj - Pay someone to vote for you! =)

says it all really. jsut goes to show why you dont see any decent djs being voted in anymore lol

ill actually be really shocked if i even see sasha or digweed in the top 10 this year at all, even though they are pretty much the most famous djs over the globe

  • That explains why it seems that all the DJ's that win are from the same geographical location. I guess they are splitting the agency cost. Good job.

  • This makes me fucking sick! All the names on that list should be TERMINATED from the voting! Jesus christ.. its a disgrace! I hope DJmag shows some fucking balls and does something about it

  • i doubt that 3-4000 votes makes the big difference, but hey, thats just me :)

  • @PhillipAlpha this is an example , i seen lot's of similar projects on the web :) i did little investigation by myself ,and results confirms my theory...cheaters are everyhere :D

  • @PhillipAlpha You would be surprised what amount can make a difference. Especially between 100-50 and 20-1 positions.

  • Several DJs are currently being investigated and DJmag is taking any attempts to garner more votes by cheating very seriously. For the last 4 years DJmag have been aware of advancing attempts to score fake votes and subsequently tightened all computer systems and guidelines to ensure this cannot be attempted successfully. We would like to ask anyone who has information or evidence of DJ's that are cheating to contact us on... amnesty@djmag.com

  • @DJmagOfficial Is this really the official DJ mag youtube account??

Look at the channel... no vids, joined: August 11, 2010, only this comment as recent activity... just saying...

  • @DJmagOfficial kudos

  • @DJmagOfficial FAKE CHANNEL !!

  • @DJmagOfficial FAKE CHANNEL!

Real DJ mag channel is: djmagtv

  • THESE CHARTS HAVE ABOUT AS MUCH CREDIBILITY AS THE EUROVISION SONG CONTEST

  • This is why I don't bother listing myself as a Dj... I don't stand a chance :)

  • Он черным чтоли в глаза с утра долбанулся, я слушать задолбался, поднимите питч чуваку

  • позор мля!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good video! Im surprised Tiesto wasnt even part of this cheat and yet he is #1 or #2 for the past like 6 years

  • @SaysWh0 He openly said in 2005 that the Top 100 wouldn't change much for him after being #1 for 3 years and asked to vote for new DJ's who needed the help to start their careers. He's still filling up statiums: I'd trust his votes are genuine. Can't really question his fan base...he does attract the masses.

  • @cpointmtl I definetely agree with you.

  • @SaysWh0 This is only one of many cheats, Tiesto cheated years ago when he 1st got number 1........he's definitely still cheating now because he doesn't want to drop out of the top 100 and lose 100,000+ per gig. ALL the Top 100 cheat.

  • @tomorrow21 Well i see where your coming from but thats not nessesarily true. Im not saying Tiesto never cheated, but if you think about it, he didnt really need to cheat. HE STARTED IT ALL. He was the first of almost everything with trance music. He has so many fans that it wont matter if hes on the list or not to continue his carreer. But all these other DJs need to catch up to Tiesto thats why they will do whatever it takes to get there. Like armin van buuren finally caught up

  • @SaysWh0 wow dude you really must be young or need o brush up on your music history, tiesto was by no means the first of anything in trance, he just grew since 1999/2000. these competitions have no meaning anyway, good production should be your only indicator needed. The most popular DJ just means the least original and most mainstream. This sucks unless you want to be raving to tunes 13 girls buy for their latest ringtone?!

  • @Kungf0ono0b being on that "meaningless" list is what brings home the money

  • @SaysWh0 Wow and the money is everything eh?

  • @Kungf0ono0b to many, yes

  • @Kungf0ono0b

good production has nothing to do with being a dj that would be best producer!

DJ or Disc Jockey is someone who plays music to people

most popular means the peoples favourite

and the whole thing is fixed anyway because mainstream music is controlled by record company's so get over it and listen to what you like not what your told is good

  • @RichieRemix you seem to miss the point and the relationship between DJ, Remix / releases, and their sucsess playing live. The comment i made was in retort to a kid trying to ascert that ''Tiesto started it all'' . How do you think DJ's like Tiesto ever reached a large enough audience to get this popular? By using the same steps many artists/DJ/Bands do.1.play live and gain a small following. Do a few mixes and or remixes that recieve radio play.3.Capitalise on exposure to gain bookings etc.

  • @RichieRemix Are you seriously trying to say that good production skills bare no relationship to dj skill? You have a poor understanding of this subject matter or havent thought it through properly. Plus most popular = peoples favourite? I'd rethink that logic m8, nievity doesnt suit an adult. Teens with malformed opinions on music is good when their primary concern is ''how do i appear cool and get laid'' are not a sound indicator of popularity espec when most DJs target live audience are 18+.

  • @Kungf0ono0b yes I am saying that dr dre is a producer mark ronson is a producer Kanye West is a producer logan sama is a DJ Tim Westwood is a DJ and your favourite DJ testicles is a producer / DJ but I have never heard 1 track he made so he can't be that good I'm not into high pitch noises over a beat that goes bum tss bum tss bum tss bum tss to WIN best DJ you don't need to produce music and visa versa Production is the making of the track DJing is the playing of the track Simple's no?
  • @Kungf0ono0b

you define it then coz i work it out as

most : greatest in size or amount

popular : regarded with favour, approval, or affection by people in general

so most popular DJ means..... wait for it............ drum roll please...................

the DJ regarded with the greatest approval or favour by the people in general or for short peoples favourite and if you don't believe me look it up and correct me

  • @RichieRemix

"listen to what you like not what your told is good"

I like that line. and I second it 100%

  • @SaysWh0 Trance was HUGE in Germany, England, and Ibiza wayyyyyyy before Tiesto came onto the scene.

  • @SaysWh0

    'HE STARTED IT ALL"

Who are you kidding. Paul Oakenfould started it all if anyone did back in 87/88.

He also was in Trance when tha scene kicked off in 1992. tiesto was probablu still at school.

  • @gavaphro Bottom line, whos the biggest DJ in the world? Not oakenfold

  • @SaysWh0

Maybe, but that's not the point.

Without Oakenfould, Tiesto probably wouldn't even exist as a DJ, practically every current danc DJ owes part of their career to the early work that he was doing at Futures then Spectrum.

That is why he comands so much respect, even recently helping DJ Grooverider (apparently), as they have history together going all the eay back to days of Heaven.

Oakenfould also in the Guiness world of records at one time. as the most successful DJ

  • @gavaphro how did tiesto pass paul oakenfold by such a great amount? what the hell did he do to get so famous lol

  • @SaysWh0

Tiesto DJ 'ed at the Olympica Games ceremony in 2004 and over night shot to world wide fame. Taking dance culture to a wider audience.

Years before Oakenfold had taken it further by supporting U2 in concert. Both landmark moments in dance music history.

He's a great DJ, just the point I was only making is that he didn't start the scene.

  • @tomorrow21 You're a idiot.. TIESTO doesn't even care about this competition... he doesn't even have a 'VOTE FOR ME' on his website. PPL vote for him because he is simply the most inspirational DJ out there. He's the only one that is still pushing himself to expand his musical horizon. Not stuck on TRANCE for years to come... he's moved onto the music of 'now'... He will draw 10x more at his events than any of the DJ's placed before him on that list....

  • @lex45662

The 1st DJ Mag Top 100 had a TOTAL of 700 votes.......The year Tiesto got big him and the Dutch DJ's passed out ballets at their gigs.....this was reported in DJ mag itself the 1st year he won. So, stuffing the ballet box I guess since DJ Mag didn't call it cheating it wasn't. It did give them a huge advantage though.

  • @lex45662 "vote for me" doesn't work anymore....have you even watched this video? You can buy 4000 votes online for $250........How many votes can Tiesto buy if he makes 100,000 a gig? Yes, Tiesto doesn't care about this competition anymore........after he's already made millions because of it. He's immune to dropping out the charts now. He's still the most famous DJ in the world no matter who buys his way to the top this year.
