  • conductor dr hosterman on this one I believe.... I'd know that voice anywhere

  • Great video !!!!!

  • i like that NS C40-9.neat to hear the crew and dispatcher talking.

  • Are you near Simpco lane, S 5th st. Bagget Marysvill road or Lincoln Blvd, where is the best place at the yard to see every train that goes through, arrives and departs.

  • Well for this exact loction at the west end of the yard, the east side of Bagget Marysville Rd is usually best to get access, however the west side can be just as easily used for access. I say east and west sides because in the old WP days, Bagget Marysville used to cross the tracks at the west end, now the road is blocked and separated and there is only a private UP grade crossing. This is where I walk over and get a lot of shots of the west end.

  • Lincoln runs pretty much parallel to the yard, and Bagget Marysville turns off of Lincoln to access the west end. 5th street turns off of Georgia Pacific Way at Roplast and runs north, just after you pass Sierra Pacific Industries, Simpco Lane turns off and runs into the main UP yard office and UP's propane off-loading facility, Simpco is sometimes used for good west side action, as long as you let UP employees know that you are just a railfan taking pictures.

  • nice lashup!
