In my 35+ years of having a listed phone number, I have NEVER made a purchase from a telemarketer yet, they keep calling, and calling and calling. At the rate of 2 calls per week x 35 years and zero results you'd think they might give up.
Give me 30 minutes of your time I I will prove to you that cold calling can build a business when done right. I will agree it's not for everyone. It takes a certain type of person. This doesn't go to say that I don't do a lot of online marketing and attraction marketing, but I do make outbound calls when I want to be very selective in my business, in fact I've created some very good relationships and have brought in quality leaders in doing so.
i work for a telesales company and i talk to assholes like you everyday...if you dont want to pick up on a better deal just say so .but the people i sell to are more than happy for my call once ive got them a better deal

I'm not saying that you'd buy from them if they didn't, but you would at least think they're not so bad.
I believe it's classical telemarketing and cold call training that causes us to "HATE" cold callers of all types...
