@cffellows Sorry for the delay in responding. I didn't see your question until now. Torque is quite good on this engine. Bore and stroke of 5/8" but the opposed piston design means that the displacement for each cylinder is double. There are three power strokes per REV, not six. The greatest advantage of this design is that it is perfectly balanced as every moving mass is matched by an equal mass moving in the opposite direction.
How does the low end torque on that compare to a conventional steam engine?

The other advantage is that it is very compact .
