Im Turkish and the bee gees are stupendously talented what a fantastic family, they have a wonderfull catalogue of music and i would never turn off a bee gees song, i love how gracefull and generous they are to the brilliant arif mardin thier producer for so many of thier wonderfull songs They always tell how he guided them more toward black music which im sure he did, but i guess mardin already knew that they would find thier way because the bee gees are pure gold, rip arif and maurice .

What the heck is wrong with Barry's voice?! Sounds like he's got a bad cold ... Must be the sound system or something. He's got a much stronger vocals than that. Still an awesome song!! :)
@MusicinOurBlood02 You cant sing that unbelievable falsetto for over 30 years and not do damage to the voice i guess we have to accept that it will never be as good as it once was but its just a consequence of his art realy. Not that it matters i mean he,s only sold a kazilion records lol.

Kind of sad when you think about how talented both Robin is and Maurice was. There were a lot of songs that these two could have sung the lead on instead of Barry but it seems he's always been very greedy. For most of the 70's he turned the Bee Gees into what was pretty much his own solo project.
@CarlOscarAlsen I think video it is about the work Maurice but into it. He was also the instrumental writer, while Barry was often the lyricist and producer. I think they took the lead on the songs they wrote the lyrics for. One this song it is Robin's vocals that make it so good though. In the 70s Barry co-wrote a movie soundtrack, he wrote Grease, several hits for his brother Andy, he wrote songs that gave other people stardom, while he was ridiculed.

They are such good songwriters! What year was this special made? Someone has commented that their final performance was a year after this but I clearly remember this song going to No 1 shortly after my son was born in 1987 (I thought it was so cool that they were having a comeback at that time!), and I saw them live in New York in the summer of 1989. It was an amazing show; I treasure the memory :) RIP Maurice and Andy.
Is their footage of that ? Like to see it, but this was a nice special, they are so much fun together :-( It makes me sad to see 2 BeeGees now. Always been 3, and for the breakup early 70,s they didn,t do much together (Barry+Maurice)
