I have never heard of any trainner needing to beat them to get what they want and even if it were true that they eventually get bored they would not beat them they would simply retire them to a zoo or care facility. @FNGLHR I am not making it up, chimps do not behave like other animals, they're behavior is reminiscent to a hyperactive 5 year old, as such they'll only do a task 3 or 4 times if you train them traditionally and get bored of it. However, keep in mind a trainer has to keep control over his animal at all times, and having an animal with the disposition of a hyperactive child with limbs stronger than most adult humans that considers direct eye contact a threat is EXTREMELY dangerous.

I have never heard of any trainner needing to beat them to get what they want and even if it were true that they eventually get bored they would not beat them they would simply retire them to a zoo or care facility. Making shit up does not help your case.

@FNGLHR I am not making it up, chimps do not behave like other animals, they're behavior is reminiscent to a hyperactive 5 year old, as such they'll only do a task 3 or 4 times if you train them traditionally and get bored of it. However, keep in mind a trainer has to keep control over his animal at all times, and having an animal with the disposition of a hyperactive child with limbs stronger than most adult humans that considers direct eye contact a threat is EXTREMELY dangerous.

Chimps are prone to unpredictable violent behavior, as such any chimp that's been socialized (key word, as you can't DOMESTICATE most wild animals) has to be shown some "corrective disciplining", ergo if you want a chimp to act in a commercial or show, you're gonna have to beat it. But nowadays, its pretty rare to use chimps in TV....

It can be taught away with certain disciplinary actions yes, but that does not prove that all chimps are trainned like that. Unless you can prove that these specific chimpanzees were mistreated for this commercial than your arguments are irrelevant. You do not HAVE to beat a chimp to get it to perform, that is absolute and fallacy. Provide proof that career builder's chimps were beaten before you accuse.

Anyway, no I can't prove that they have beaten, but I do know that they are probably no older than 8 (in other words, they're prepubescent chimps) since if they were older they'd be too feral and dangerous for their trainers to control them.
