God created poison ivy, but that doesn't mean he wants us to take it! Just because something's natural doesn't mean it's good for you. Besides smoking weed can result in various neurological disorders, not to mention cancers of the lung and the throat. God asks us to respect our bodies, therefore I don't see how he could want us to smoke weed.
@luvguitare Where did you get these facts from? What were they based on? And finally there's never been a reported case. The only aliment you ever get from weed is temporary memory loss.

I even know a man who went schizophrenic and tried to kill his wife, and his doctors all blamed the weed and said that this was not the first case they had seen. However you are quite right that it's not the weed itself that causes cancer but the actual smoking of it, potentially it's more dangerous that tobacco because it burns at a much higher temperature. <3 2u2
@luvguitare Weed does not enhance the chance of trapped schizophrenia to release, doctors say such things as a scare tactics as many politicians do, when actually doctors prescribe weed to people whom have symptoms of mild schizophrenia. What the case most likely was that he was using some other form of drug such as cocaine since its chemically created, note that cocaine causes allusions and may cause un-aggravated rage.
@luvguitare Myself and many other people will agree with me on this one, that weed does not cause any sort of distress or anger, because you aren't capable of doing so, weed shuts down a certain part of your brain (I'll post which when I remember) that allows you too make complicated decisions nor have the ability to use your muscles at full capacity, in other words you wouldn't be able to catch, hurt, or even sometimes notice another person.

@McToweliee Look, I don't know what country you live in, but weed is certainly not legal here in France, and is taught to be dangerous to both our mental and physical health. If it is illegal, it must be for a good reason. I consulted with a doctor today who assured me that tests and personal experience definitely show that it can cause cancer (as can smoking anything), and that prolongated use of it can lead to acute anxiety, paranoia, and in some cases, schizophrenia.
@McToweliee Memory loss is, as you said one of the short term side effects. But there are indeed other ones that come on after a few years of substance abuse, these appear more rapidly depending on the susceptibility to neurological disorders of the individual, but it does indeed destroy brain cells unfortunately. That is a scientific fact. Anyway, I was just making a point and warning people who might otherwise be unaware of such things.

@skreenk I apologize, I worded that wrong. Drugs replace the body's natural production of certain chemicals which make you more dependent on them. So if you stopped cold turkey, your brain would need in some cases several months to repair itself and return to its natural state. So you're right, you just can't stop you have to scale down or find a replacement.

I've been addicted to two different substances, and trust me, it's not just a "warm feeling" that you want back. After a while, it stops being fun, and you only take it to feel normal. If you don't take it, you go through withdrawal which is a mental hell that you can't possibly imagine. You don't want it all. Your brain NEEDS it. Two entirely different things.

I mean, when Robert Deniro plays a mobster and kills someone in a movie, they're not saying killing is good. In fact, they're saying the opposite, they're just using drama and irony to convey that.
When Tara says "pot is natural", we're not supposed to think "Oh, so we should all smoke", we're meant to laugh. This is a comedy/drama.

It's usually no more than 10% pure, unless you're REALLY rich, so stop putting weed in the same category as coke. And just so you know, the active chemical in the cocoa leaf can be extracted and used as a natural numbing agent. The problem is the man-added chemicals in street coke.
