Many Germans were ecucated as Patriots and it was hard for many to trait their own country in war time, which was necessary in order to overthrow the regime. They were also afraid of Stalin. Anyway, some of the militaries did so, e.g. the general Hans Oster. Furthernmore Hitler was extremely lucky. He survived several assassination attempts.

@devilcruiser The prisoners in concentration camps suffered terribly, they were tortured and many died. In the last years of war people were executed for telling a joke, listening to foreign broadcast or saying that Germany will loose the war.
Maybe the Germans would have overthrown the regime if it had lasted longer, who knows.

@devilcruiser That there was (almost) no resistance in Germany is a myth. 1933-45 ca 3,5 million Germans were arrested in concentration camps and prison for political reason (so not including Jews/Gypsies etc.) and ca 77 000 Germans were officially condemnd to death and executed for one or another form of resistance (many more were killed "inofficially" in the concentration camps).
But the only real chance to overthrow the regime was to kill Hitler, and, sadly, the plotters failed.
