Venäjästä voi tulla Suomelle hyvä yhteistyökumppani, jos se puuttuu Suomea häiritseviin asioihin. Ja koska esimerkiksi rekkoihin aletaan kyllästyä, me kohta vaikeutamme niiden liikkumista Suomen alueella. Rekkakuskit tekevät suurta tuhoa täällä.

I wouldn't call it a democracy. That's not to say Putin is a bad leader, or that true democracy is currently even diserable in Russia.
I personally believe a state is sometimes better off under (temporary) authoritarian rule. Especially after a long period of chaos and decline.

Few authoritarian regimes the past 20 - 30 years have collapsed as a result of war. A lasting regime change can only come about as a result of the will of the people who are to live under it.

It's far beyond "proletarians" (a word that only Marxists use around here). For 30+ years I've lived here, I' don't remember ever meeting a single person who had any interest in conquering the world.
If anything, many Americans are still a bit shocked that their formerly provincial country wound up in the center of things. Many wish it never had.
