  • Omg wtf y didn't this dickwad run on the policies he's talking about here instead he took our great country and flushed it down the shithole

  • Attack your own country. blame another country for the attack who coincidently has mass amounts of oil and you're Winning -.-

  • @TheJackssuprise

you are fucked in the head

    seek help

  • 0:40 to 3:06 They shouldn't be talking like that. Them saying those things helps rise prejudice against the middle east. Letterman didn't understand this back then but I think now he does.

  • this was filmed with a vegetable

  • a little bit of research on gwb and ghb will enlighten you to know they're not stupid. i know he's acted dumb at times, but he is very intelligent. stop getting information from national media sources. they're full of shit

  • wow almost every topic letterman adressed would have a great impact on the us.A very interesting look inside the guy especially when he talked about the "serious consequences"!

  • This proves that Bush was reasonably intelligent and could make sense when he could be bothered to.

  • @Shanks130 ur a fuckin fag dont reply to ppl

  • "The Arabs have got us over the barrel so to speak." LMAO! seriously, that was the best G.W Bush analogy I have ever heard. George was worth more laughs the debt he put us in.

  • i dont understand... when i look back at these old videos he doesnt seem as... um stupid? was it stress that turned him into what we got as a president or a brain melt down? maybe someone was slipping him a mickey? i mean jeez what happened to him?

  • wow pres. bush really does say somthing and really means it, like he said about obama im not going to analyze him, just like he did here, i think he is a very respectful person, look at the this ellection everyone was bashing everyone like crazy, bush did none of that at all, good man, thats why he got into office, everyone can see that he has alot of respect for people in higher power, and he's just being true to himself he's not worried about polls even b/4 his run for pres.. wow great man!

  • bush is way smarter then we think he is, he was acting stupid for having all the time as president to promote certain people wealth, good job bush, you should get nobel for sociopolitical economy management

  • Lol Bush says "You can't put American solutions onto middle east" and yet this is what exactly he did.

  • They got a signal.. when Bush picks up the mug, they cut to a break ! lmao !!!

  • pfft. fantastic values, respect, tolerance. bull. While everyone is thinking: "how can we help the world?", america thinks: how many of the enemy can we kill with one bomb?"

  • as we say, people catch a disease when they go to washington.

  • 0.7 degrees warmer than it was 50 years ago*

Al Gore isn't exactly the most honest guy when it comes to "global warming"

  • I hate paying my high gas prices and my energy bill. I'm just saying.

  • "we gotta alotta cars in texas its a big city"

  • Anyone who calls Bush dumb or stupid should try running for President and winning not once, but twice. Or if that sounds a little too hard, try explaining the mechanism of the American Political system in an easy-to-understand way. Wake up world. Stop blaming your problems on a scapegoat who is probably much smarter than you on your best day.

  • @actstasi are you freaking serious have you seen bushes blooper real, I have never seen a man more unprofessional and act more like a goofball than any other.

  • @actstasi that's precisely the question that hovered over people's minds when he was elected president. "why?" it became all the more baffling that he 'won' - accordingly - the second time. many outside the U.S. thought it was an episode of Ashton Kutcher's practical jokes. :)

  • @actstasi

Don't worry about it man. Think about what the YouTube community consists of. It's all liberal minded teens for the most part. They have no respect for him regardless of his level of authority. The internet is a place for radicals to go and express their thoughts. Remember it's not representative of our Nation as a whole.

  • @actstasi how could you not call him dumb, he fucked up in every issue and blew the towers down along with illuminati you wake up moron

  • It's like reading Mein Kempf in pre-war Germany...

  • hello mister president of america.

u are the best in the world for albanian peaple

we love bush very much ,u are the symbol for albanian peaple.

i hope u to have one good life.

  • the world knows how dum this man was and is

  • Bush is a failure...

  • Miss Bush. :(

    Love 4:06 !

  • he he he

  • george bush on letterman? wow.. did letterman make bush kiss his liberal ring?

  • At 4:45 Bush is asked about the air pollution in Texas. He replies "We've got a lot of cars. We're a big CITY!" Now, I'm from the Northeast, but I'm pretty sure that Texas is a STATE.

  • @iamthewalrus3620 and he said it twice...damn!

  • @iamthewalrus3620 well not that I am a Bush fan, but he was referring to Houston.

  • hitler didnt deny his terrorist behaviour towards the jews and non german people, but bush has and will..... hitler actually controling a country on his own beliefs and use of his educated sense.... some thing bush clearly lacks.... hitler took on russia and the allies before he fell, but i wonder would bush of failed just taking russia on?

  • lol Bush is just too funny

  • United States is a sophisticated and peaceful nation? I am sure David used these words to check Bush's intelligence, because that is not at all true.

  • Comparing this to the interview Dave did with Clinton you can really see the massive gulf of the intellect between the two. Don't even look at what they said in response to what they did, look at the language they use. Bill Clinton talked about how to better the planet through energy economy and Bush just talked about war.

Oh sorry, he talked about peace.

Plus Clinton managed to get more humor while still staying serious. This cocaine snorting scumbag is the shame of the modern USA.

  • Also I find it deplorable that Bush is talking about finding new eco-friendly sources of power. Yet his entire administration was built on foreign oil sources and non eco-friendly power.

  • I can't believe that James Brown supported Bush.

  • compare this interview with Clinton's on Letterman. i can't believe this was our next choice.

  • "u're trying to put a US solution on the middle east." pretty ironic words from george w. bush.

  • @exbronco1980 wow. totally agree

  • he said "texas" was a city?? omG....yes....he was our president!!

  • The illusion of democracy is an insult to our intelligence. Two political parties owned by the same set of corporate lobbyists, they are placed in their positions by the corporations with popularity artificially projected by their media.

  • should have punched him the face right there and got it over with

  • HAHAHAHA...i cant stop laughing ...lol

  • moron. they have the most money, but turn people away from critical operations so healthcare there is only for the wealthy. how can the USA ever help anyone when they believe that pure capitalism will resolve unfair situations in areas of the world paritcularly states that have un-democratic government! worst "leader of the free world" of all time and his father was a dick too. Letterman is an uneducated journalist too. how can americans stomach this type of political interview?

  • Bush is so awesome lol.

  • hahahaaaaa!!!

this guy was the president for 8 years.. still cant believe it.. hahahahahaaaa

  • i cant believe he was a contender... BUSH IS A DUMB ASSHOLE

  • help make the world more peaceful... a flash of horror swept through me when I heard that

  • oh shyt i thought the 03 standed for 2003...*bush wouldnt have shown up*..he woulda been boo'd out the theatre

  • Michael Moore was right

  • Iraq resistance

where are u now mr bush??

    hahahah

  • oh really? well to bad buddy because Canada has education and health care for all citizens and actually gives a crap about its people.

  • Thats the funny thing you don't. You have rationed care and rationed education.

  • i disagree.. the FREE education system is perfectly fine along with our FREE healthcare system that doesn't turn people away to die

  • bush is so dumb. no brains and personality to fill an egg cup

  • 4:10....looks like gore did step up!!

  • "A opportunity for people to speak with eachother"

Yeah thats why they're gunning down everyone..

  • ahh poor stupid pathetic bush!!!

  • 6:03 good one mr. bush.

"they don't have the technology necessary."

    ???

  • fuck america go to canada eh?

  • Fuck canada. Why would we move to a country that has the Queen of England on its money. That's what we fought against in the revolution.

  • agreed, fix your policies don't flee to another country!

  • u elected a fool

  • hahahaha he called texas a big city

  • twice

  • He was talking about Houston, which is a city.

  • "you're suggesting a US solution in the middle east ... and that's not gonna happen"

I FINALLY FOUND IT!!! something bush said that made sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • before 9/11 mate

  • haha yeah that was part of my joke. not well said i suppose

  • He was bitching about insufficient refining capacity yet for eight years he did not build a single refinery.

All his talk was smoke and mirrors.

  • And the people TWICE put Bush in office. We are a strange electorate.

  • Well if you see the idiots that were running against him, it's not so strange. Both Gore and Kerry were nightmares

  • Invasion of Iraq? Texas?

  • Sure beats the speech i just heard awhile back.

  • Obama Free health care while there is still a war in progress? Think about what you are doing. WE ARE STILL AT WAR!!

  • Obama should listen to this. Only one voice and he respect what they president is doing or did. Bush did not say he Inherect Obama is like a baby and he will destroy the not just the country but the Democrat Party

  • Gore did more for the environment than Governor Bush ever did in his 8 years in office. In fact, the Bush administration totally ignored the global environmental problem.

  • agreed

  • Keeping our country safe, ridding Iraq of an evil dictator and leading them toward a constitutional democracy, reducing taxes and keeping the economy strong (until Barney Frank and the Democrats took over the Finance Committee and Congress respectively in 2006), putting the Taliban on the run in Afghanistan, increased significantly aid to Africa in an effort to feed children and fight AIDS, well, there's a start.

  • OK, let's put this partisanship to one side for a second here. In ridding Iraq of an evil dictator he pitted it into a civil war which cost hundreds of thousands of lives due to lack of foresight and manpower. The economy might not have crashed until 2008 but Bush burnt a pretty big whole with a $trillion war, which drove up oil prices in the Middle-East crippling drivers. If Bush had focused on Afghanistan completely the Taliban might well be vanquished by now instead of destabilising Pakistan.

  • Bush, I may not like some parts of your politics but I believe he's some what blunt in his interview, he did make a few valid points that you cant apply US methods to other parts of the world such as middle east solve a problem, you should try to try find an environmentally friendly way to use their own oil or resources or you would be dependant on foreign countries, I think he meant well overall throughout his leadership but along that way it somewhat went the wrong or handled the wrong way.

  • Yeah, if he had done ANYTHING he said in this interview regarding the Middle East, he would've been a far better president. Apparently, 9/11 was a reason for the man to throw out all of his level-headed thought.

  • He will be in the JAIL OF HISTORY forever!!!

  • George Bush is one of the most underated Presidents in American History.

  • He wont be underrated forever. Eventually, history will see him in the right light and give him the credit he deserves.

  • so.. what exactly will be uncovered about him that turns him from complete buffoon to national hero?

  • jop, i think in future he will be seen just on the same step as hitler

  • thats a reallyy bold statement. to compare bush to hitler is kinda .. well lightly put reallyyy stupid.

  • @igotmusicxx no its not

  • Really?

hitler? the one that killed millions of people? I'm pretty sure

bush will not be seen on the same step as hitler

  • hiter is the greatist leader in history

  • @rudibon Hitler? Calm down, Hitler killed millions of people for no reason. He's a murdered. Bush might have been a not very good president, but cmon, he isn't a murderer.

  • He wasn't a plonker like Al Gore: it's a shame your electoral system doesn't allow for the analysis of more than two candidates.

  • @fomastephanovitch It's not the electoral system at fault. It all boils down to money and the media. If you want to get sufficient backing and air time you will need to win the nomination of one of the two major parties. Ross Perot bought a bunch of air time in the 90's and was a serious contender for the presidency until he dropped out of the race. There is always more than two candidates in televised debates, etc.

  • @fomastephanovitch actually there was an independent candidate ross perot who got in to the presidential debate in 1992. he also participated the presidential election in 1996, but was excluded from the debate.

  • I can't believe you voted for this man to be your president, TWICE!

  • 11 degrees warmer than it was 50 years ago? Where the hell is he getting his facts from?

  • The Prophet Al Gore, peace be upon him. Dare not to question his revealed knowledge, infidel, lest Mother Gaia open her great mouth and swallow you into the belly of the earth, where you shall burn evermore.

  • global warming is a tool used by the government, to put people into an even further state of fear from something you cant even see, kindve like terrorism.

  • Letterman nailed it on 1:13

Islamic extremists are savages that deserve to be hung by their balls, and moderate Muslims, both in the US and in the Middle East, are cowards that don't speak out more against extremists because, at their core, they are of the same faith.

    Its absolutely shameful.

  • "Islamic terrorists" like the king of Saudi Arabia are the only reason why our gas prices are not at $10 per gallon, like it is in some European nations. They also are business people who have a lot of political power in the US because of their control of natural resources and their businesses

  • If you have done ANY sort of research into this religion before denouncing it at all, then you would realize that there are plenty of Muslims who are very much against violence and who are ashamed and angry at their fellow Muslims who give them a bad name.

  • If you watch any of his other speeches/interviews as Governor, he seemed like a totally different man....

  • totally agree...he probably didn't have cheney back then

  • This interview is Scary!!!! It predicted the Bush administration.

  • Notice W said there would be serious consequences and they go to the bumper showing the world trade center... creepy!

  • you do turn on the TV, don't you?

  • bush created much more hate

  • bush didn't create hate. he just killed love.

  • greatest comment ever.

  • very classy comments by Bush, he wouldn't criticize Clinton. you won't see others do that. He never wanted a war, don't forget he inherited the problems about 9/11. I wish Bush had of been able to drill for oil in ANWAR. Gore is such a douchebag. Bush is a good man, he tried, he did well on somethings, but he also got a ton of crap thrown at him, Gore would have screwed us..

  • Agreed. He dropped the unemployment rate Clinton had which was 6 down to 4.4% It wasn't easy inheriting a mild recession from the Clinton era. And then 9/11 hit and that had further economic distress. Because of the Bush tax-cuts, the DowJones industrial average, productivity, wages, manufacturing employment all sky-rocketed. It wasn't even until the Democrats took over congress that people started losing their jobs and the economic crisis began.

  • Voice, you are an idiot. It was called a bubble caused by the Feds actions, we are paying for it now. Bush is the most pathetic leader this country has seen since Harding. The Democrats had one house, and not even a simple majority. Six years of pure repulican control and two more of republican majority created this disater. You are a pure idiot, along with ou chifour66

  • You are obviously not the sharpest knife in the drawer. You must watch nothing but fox.

  • I couldn't agree more

  • Why are people who support bush are called stupid and blind but all the Obama supports follows him like a drone, He doesn't have any accomplishments yet he hasn't proved anything yet, besides becoming president, I also don't understand why people are so shocked that a black guy is president, Americans aren't as racist as people believe

  • Sure but he inherited the worst economy ever since the depression and if he does follow through on it he's going to get mad props.

  • True, I may not be his biggest supporter but I will love to see him do great

  • Me too

  • @repwin Thank you! Exactly. :)

  • I still am. I miss him.

  • "Why are people acting like this in 3rd world countries?"

Gee, Letterman, maybe becuase they're, starving, uneducated, poor, and without the luxuries that we take for granted?

  • i like bush, mostly but what he said at 2:00, he should go back and listen to it now. He's trying to rush a peace agreement before he leaves office...just like his predecessor.

  • You like bush? youre a fucking moron!

  • your a moron bush is amazing

  • "the technology is not available..." Yeah, maybe you should HAVE INVESTED IN RESEARCH OF THE ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGY instead of your funny little adventure in Iraq. You costed us and the whole world 8 years of progress, somehow I can't really laugh about that. :-(

  • "the technology is not available"... Haha, he is a Moron and you are right.

  • so cool!!! msg me! s

  • "We've gotta help make the world more peaceful." Holy shit...what a fuckin joke. Yeah, the world is much more peaceful since Bush got into office...he is a peace pushing machine, I tell ya!

  • do you want him to just sit around and do nothing when terrorists fly planes into our buildings? what more do you need

  • wow to think there was a time when bush sound smart

  • Near the end, Bush nailed the potential gas price problem

  • It's easy to nail the gas price problem when you make it happen to begin with.

  • wow wow!!!!! Isn't it crazy how the things Bush predicted did come true and he really didn't help the economy while he was president. He knew it was going to get worse and it didn. Instead of using billions of dollars on this war we should have been investing money into the technology to come up with a way to not be so dependent on foreign oil. Now 8 years later the republicans still want to drill in Alaska!!!! They just don't get it!!! We need to think about the long term affects!

  • I think you overestimate the President's ability to effect the economy.

  • Comment removed

  • My bad.

  • How many times did he ask Bush throughout the entire interview to verify a Texas or national statistic, and Bush said 'I dont know...' Letterman's strategy of playing dumb works for someone like Bush

  • Letterman has to play dumb so he doesn't insult Bush. There were probably guidelines for this interview as to what Letterman could and could not discuss. He is bringing up general topics that were relevant for that election and that the average American can understand. By playing dumb he gives Bush the responsiblity to talk about each topic and to explain himself.

  • Letterman is an uneducated piece of garbage without an opinion is his head that hasn't been placed there by far left loons.

Bush was right before he took office, the sad fact is ANWAR is still not open, pipelines still aren't built, electric automobiles still suck and the Arabs still have us over a barrell.

Off shore drill now, open ANWAR and get refining up.

  • "otherwise I'm not gonna deploy it" ehehehehehe

  • fox news much? you're a complete retard/sheep.

  • "you try to put a US solution to the middle-east and its.. not gonna happen. it has to be a solution that both the palestinians and israelis agree too"

"we're founded on fantastic values: respect, tolerance ... we've got to help make the world more peaceful"

"i think we can do a much better job with the environment"

LOL??????? typical two-faced politician... and to think they bitched john kerry soooo much for flip-floping during that campaign... the irony.

  • what happened to him he made a lot of sense back then

  • He still makes sense. His ideas really haven't changed. It's merely his portrayal as a demon that uninformed people cling to.

In 20 years when politics are out of the equation it will be the first time we can really see what has been happening.

  • yes they have, idiot. did you even watch the video.

  • Gawd, can't he see beyond his nose? What about the Super Collider project? Beating the Russians in space success was more important that following through with that energy project... talk about wasting money.

  • Check out the L. Wanta scandall. I would not be surprised for one second if 9-11 wasn't a setup of sorts by the gov.

  • Since George Bush took office, the US Dollar has lost half its value against the Euro while the annual trade deficit doubled.

We cannot afford four more years of Cheney/Bush economics under George W McCain.

  • Why has that happened? I have some ideas. Again, check out Lee Wanta arrest, and CitiBank etc.

  • "we've got to help make the world more peaceful" this is so *** I don't even know what to write.

It is interesting to watch it 8 years later though. Even though it does make me slightly sick.

  • "more alternative USES for energy" - well, we're not really short on uses, we're short on sources...someone ought to have explained the difference to him.

  • Hello Kajawneja; Please check Al Gores youtube videos regarding Iraq and Kerry's. Both these guys were clamping down hard on Bush for doing nothing in Iraq when they knew for sure Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. The only difference here is that they would have gone ot was sooner and not even tried to get a UN mandate.

BTW; HClinton and Biden voted for invasion. Not sure about Obama may be he just voted 'Present' very convenient.

  • Gosh....what happedned to this dude? Or is just hiding his

    agenda even back in 2000?

  • A lot of pressure in the white house (for the president anyway). Pressure from the Kissinger clan... check out connection history... no coincidence about Bush. A big intertwined money making machine... aka U.S. leadership. Lee Wanta, Edison Daminuk.... google these guys and get more info.
