And if you have an HTC HD2, you can use multitouch to play (or G-sensor, or a bluetooth gamepad like a wiimote or a PS3 Sixaxis)

@digital555 Yes, it is, either the MSI BGP100 bluetooth gamepad, or a "simple" USB gamepad (not a complicate one with sticks or many leds!) after having installed the appropriate drivers, made by someone (I don't remember his name, sorry!!) at XDAdevelopers. You can find these drivers in a cab at fpsece forum, tg01 section

@lightrevan19980 So far: no. Maybe with an openGl es plugin. Also remember the ps1 was meant for regualr TV, not HD, so the max resolution was not so big

i think we are able to increase the resolution...

i am sure about it because there are many usual psx emulators for pc that give us to run ps1 files at our display's resolution. so there is not have to be a problem with 800x480.

@thegoodbear1 fpsece needs very "pure" iso. In the fpse.ini file, put DisableLogo=on to DisableLogo=off, see what boot screen you have then when starting a working game (the yellow logo, then the PSX logo in colors and playstation written at the bottom). When you start an iso and don't see both start screen completly, your iso is corrupted (happens often if you download roms)

Yes, WinMo 6.5 update avaliable on toshiba website.

If your TG01 is WinMo 6.1, update immédiatly to WinMo 6.5, before doing anything else, the 6.1 rom is full of bugs!

I think you should try a PC USB gamepad first.

Then you need to install a dll called HIDgamep and make a change in the TG01 registry.

Go to XDA forum, in HTC athena thread, you'll find a post concerning USB gamepad with all the explanations. If you have problems, please PM me I'll give you more info

the only unlocking method for the TG01 is with IMEI code, so browse the web for a site that offers these codes for the TG01

You nean a second 6.5 upgrade? I think there won't be, it was already hard to get the first WinMo 6.5 upgrade, and don't think toshiba will release another one. Note that with the current 6.5, it has no bug for me.

i have a way to make my xperia faster than your omnia and full speed games. 1st i installed the lightest rom i could find so less processing then installed speedbooster 2.0. now then i set the fpsece to full processing power origionally only half way then lowerd the rest so basically fpsece gets most of the processing pie. fpsece 1.0 sometimes crashes tho but not often now i run driver 2 and crash bandicoot full speed. try it out.

So far the minimum tested and supported displays are 320x320 and 400x240, so not sure at all for 240x240

hmmm....really hard to tell!

Right now, this evening at 08:47 pm, I would say the Toshiba TG01, because as long as the real multitouch is not implemented on theHTC HD2, the screen is less accurate and mainly quite slower when you press the same touch fast on the HD2

But if Schtruck implements "real multitouch" on the HD2, and mainly find a way to improve the accuracy and the delay when pressing the screen, the HTC HD2 will be better, not in terms of speed or fps, but in terms of playbility

I don't really know why, but the x1 has never really given the very good results it's supposed to. It will be more likely like on my Omnia in terms as Fps rather than like my TG01.

But it will be very correct, for driver 2 I suppose some 45 fps

The HTC Leo hasn't proved a lot!

1) It's "capacitive" multitouch screen en fact only allow "pinch to zoom" but with WinMo 6.5, two onscreen buttons pressed at the same time are not recognized!

2) Its 3D drivers, especially for openGL ES suck! People at XDA hacked toshiba TG01 3d drivers to try to imporve their Leo!

3) It has a little more Ram, but its UI uses more ram, so no fidderence!

=> buy a Toshiba TG01, now bug-free with Winmo 6.5 and about 300 euros on ebay!

HTC Leo will surely become better with a cooked rom (XDA, help!!!)

PS2 emulation is not possible for the moment, it requires far too much power. N64 emulator will surely become possible soon, but PS2...wait a few years!

PS1 with such performances and compatibility is only achievable with Windows Mobile devices (as long as you want a phone! if not, simply buy a PSP, it can also play most of PS1 games!), and its better to have a snapdragon CPU so toshiba TG01, HTC HD2 or Acer F1 "new touch"

Because my videos follow FpseCE 0.10 developpement.

When I made this Driver 2 video, G-sensor had just been implemented and was not precise at all.

And the overlays where not availiable yet.

For Gran-turismo, I found that stearing left/right with G-sensor was quite difficult with this game, but it's possible to this! You can also both accelerate and stear left/right only with G-sensor, but you'll crash your car soon! ^^

I have betas regularly. The last one I had and closest to the real release is the one you can see on my medievil video.

The G-sensor is much better now, you can play without crashing all the time, but remember that these games where not meant to be played like that, it's not iphone or WinMo games, very precise race or fighting games will always be better with an external gamepad.

For the release, I would say weeks, Schtruck is waiting for the last overlays.

Touch pro 2 is a little weak, but it will work about like it works on my Samsung Omnia (see my old vids).

The HD2 will have the same speed as what you see on my toshiba TG01.....and a multitouch screen! (and onscreen transparent overlays are almost ready, so with the HD2, this will be huge, multitouch!!!!!!)

Not avaliable yet, what you see here is beta testing.

But go to fpsece forum, find fpsece 0.9.6 and download it.

Then select VGA for gfx drivers in fpsece options

Ce depend, les cinematiques peuvent marcher parfaitement et le jeu etre à 25 fps

Sur le samsung omnia, mes iso sont completes.

Sur le TG01, elles sont compressées avec pocketIso (pour le son et meme la vitesse globale du jeu, c'est mieux!)

I think FpseCE is a GREAT program, but unluckily it doesn't work on Smarphone.

Really I managed to make it work with Sphelper, but it runs very slowly (i tried metal slug X).

I read in the 0.10 Readme file that next release will be compatible with smartphone...so...is there a place to download it? also in alpha-version...because i really would like to try it...is it possible? otherwives, could you send it to me by email?

Des jeux du style RPG (final fantasy, etc) ne devraient pas trop poser de probleme.

Les jeux "pur 3D" auront un peu plus de mal, ca ressemblera davantage à ce que ça donne sur mon Samsung Omnia que sur le TG01.

I will, I'm stil trying to find the good settings not to show something hardly playable (example: 360 degrees each time I turn in gran turismo). It's possible to have good settings for each game, and it takes a while to be used to this.

So when I have something nice, I'll record it.

If you 400mhz is an XA CPU, some games may run quite good with fpsece 0.10, not as fast, only a few full speed, but quite good, especially if you have much free ram.

it's not original screen sized, it's stretched somehow, but unoticable.

Even the Omnia and its strange 400x240 display can have a great full screen now.
