  • Like everyone else, no I wouldn't say youre being negative to the point where youre turning people away. I would say that your prepping them up for reality acting. If it upsets them that much they clearly need more time to absorb it. Im looking to act in the near future once Im older. (Im 13 right now :/ ) so from my view. This is reaally helpful. Keep it up. ;D (Y)

  • @SimsMoviesLmt Thank you. I really appreciate that!

  • tbh if somebody can't take what you say in you're videos, then they shouldn't really be trying to become an actor, because they obviously have too many doubts in themselves and not a thick enough skin. i (like most people) know that there are lots of difficulties in this industry, we watch you're videos to help us prepare for them, understand them, and know what they are. don't change! your videos are perfect!

  • not negative. Honest! at the end of the day if u tel them how it is now they are prepared. it may upset em but its the truth rather learn it from you than to go thru the acting process and get rejected loads and learn that way. acting is like 90% rejection unless your really good. i say keep what your doing. iv learnt alot from you and im sure il continue 2 do so. people that want fame will soon realise the truth, if ur looking 4 fame ur not a true actor. u do it cuz u love acting. tht is all :)

  • @marcusperry203 Thanks Marcus. What a great response! You going to upload any more monologues/scenes soon? :)

  • i think you show people what real acting means:)

  • @joweria1 Wow, thank you!

  • I know a girl who wanted to a be a actress she told me "i can't wait to be famous".And another friend who said "i don't care about fame i just want to act".

  • Please do not change. Your honesty is hugely important. I don't think ThatSophiaKid's approach is for everyone, certainly not for me since I've just seen her doing the coffee cup exercise. I send a lot of young actors to your YouTube channel and they love your honesty, I don't think we need Olivia-Lite.

  • I don't think you're negative. I just think you're honest and straight forward. The reality is, if aspiring actors don't hear it from you, they're likely to hear it from someone else. Plus, to be an actor you need thick skin, Some of the things you say do come off as harsh but they are the truth. You seem like the kind of person who gets misinterpreted as being condescending, even though I don't think that's your intention. Just keep doing what you're doing.

  • The people who say you're negative are the ones who can't take the fact that chances are they won't make it, which is the truth. You have great videos so you don't need a rethink!!

  • @RhondaAnaconda123 You have the best screenname. I love it! Thank you.

  • I always thought you came across as more realistic than negative. And you've persuaded me personally to look into voice overs :)

  • You're not negative. In fact, every video I've seen has been to the point and are you opinion of the industry. The hard reality is that you are talking about a business and that means it's going to be hard.

Very few actors are willing to commit a decade or more of their time to learn, grow network, etc. in the industry and that's just the way it is. Personal opinion... Don't change what you're doing.

  • Can you do a video about how you got prepared to become an actress/casting director and like your acting life story :)

  • @Nikolaika77 I've actually had a few questions about getting into casting as I think a lot of actors would find that an interesting career twist! Might be fun to do :)

  • You dont have to balance shit... if being realistic means you have to rip peoples souls out and tell them the harsh realities of this industry them tell them!! Dont turn into a pretentious sell out like most youtubers.

  • @TheChodez The majority of my demographic are girls in their early teens and it would be unethical to rip them apart! It is only when you get older you realise that your own opinion is not necessarily the best or only one. I know that when I was younger I would make a face to anyone telling me i would struggle to get a job in the future! I certainly won't leave out the realities, but I won't be a stamp on anyone's dreams anymore. Hope that makes sense!

  • @TheChodez

    U call these vids ripping ppl's soul apart?? wat world r u living @? coz i wouldn't mind 2 join u!

if u think about it these vids actually prevent from being ript apart (4 starting of actors) in the future''

and instead of just dreaming about their Career as an actor these vids actually help 2 Plan out ur career.

  • @jey169ii

I said if being realistic means she has to tell people the harsh realities of the industry and in turn 'rip peoples souls out' then she should do it.

But in all honestly, if she wants to, with no input from the youtube community be more 'positive' then good for her but if she is adapting to how people want her to be then its a shame.

In the future I recommend you read posts more intellectually before you state such crap and in turn you will be safe from pure embarrassment.

  • @TheChodez

Geez relax.. "soRRY Sir" 4 not reading ur post "intellectually"

well if u read my post carefully, i didn't say that i dont agree with the fact that she should stay herself and not be "fake positive"

no need 2 be so agressive :S

  • I love your videos and always find it a pleasant surprise when I see that you've posted a new one. Don't change too much. I actually like your realism...keeps me grounded.

  • @AgentJrrd Thank you, that's really great to hear. I appreciate it!

  • This was a nice video,

I agree with Laurbubble on you being positive, i like the fact that you give us this advice of how to get into the industry

  • I don't think you're that negative. You're negative towards people's stupid dreams of being famous, but that's a good thing. Being famous and being good in your artistic field are two different things entirely, and often have very little to do with each other. When you've talked about the greater field of acting in general, you've never seemed negative. Maybe just do that more? Ignore the "I want to get famous" people, and talk more about the part of the industry that you like.

  • @thepeteris Thank you for this, it cleared things up for me.

  • no way'' i think ur vid's are awesome'' and i love ur honesty in them'' thats the reason y i subscribed u''' i actually find all the vid's positive, because their honest, and they make sense! and they will help actors or any1 to reach their goal!

dont worry hon :P, just keep doing wat ur doing and be urself'' ;]

  • @jey169ii Thank you Jey! :D

  • I love your honesty!

I think it's nice to have someone telling people that you won't be famous. If people are really interesting in acting, they'll do it because it is something that they love and not for the fame and the money! ^___^

  • I think you're positive enough, I've always liked your approach on acting!

  • @Laurbubble Thanks for saying that Laura, I honestly didn't think I was being very supportive at all. Hope you're having fun in Germany!

  • You look so pretty :)

  • @xilent234 You're so sweet :D
