@unreal1361 there is still radiation in pripyat there are areas you arent allowed to be in since the radiation level is to high if you go to pripyat you should avoid mosses since there are alot of radiation there. Drinking wine after your visit is good because it helps against the radiation you absorbed when you where there.
@iiCHAVO everything about visiting Pripyat and visiting there is true, maybe there is some wrong information in there, but except that everything is true. I know this because my uncle has been there, there's a ton of paperwork to do before you can even get the clearance from the UME and after that you still have to wait untill you get cleared by the authorities... By the way, just to mention my uncle visited Pripyat on May 7th, 2006...
@Nihilanth u cant DRIVE IN there is a sign that says no access i believe.... that is where the radiation starts to get deadly...u can see the town but u cant go to the power station
@JohanOlsson It will take the radiation 10,000 years to dissapear until they can rebuild everything. You don't want to live in an irradiated house, even if the radiation in the air is gone, right?
The music is stupid!

This is so fascinating, sad and unbelievable on the same time =)
I wonder if they will ever rebuild the town again and move back =S
Thanks for posting this one, I've just played Modern Warfare 1 and started think about this =)
By the way, I don't understand, what is the difference between Pripyat and Chernobyl =) ?

@JohanOlsson Pripyat was the city, and chernobyl was the power plant, they are located 3 km away from each other
