  • the touch screen kit, is it essentially an overlay on the old screen?

  • Indeed, it's just a plastic plate with a touch-enabled resistive membrane stuck on one side and dual-sided tape stuck to all edges on the other. You just stick it on top of the LCD-screen that's already there.
