  • dis is not tibetan song...f******ck up.sound like nose....hahahaha really stupid song..fuck u chiniaaaaa.shamee

  • who know the theme song? please tell me.

  • When see them dance, I feel like a king see beauties dance in the palace :D

  • looks like ani nyunma...

  • What is the name of this dance form?

  • The dancing is beautiful and the clothing too. But this song is Chinese, not Tibetan, and it is sad to see yet another example of the cultural genocide that is happening.

  • Although the dancing is beautiful, this is not Tibetan, this is Chinese.

  • This Chinese folk song was selected as one of 13 Earth songs in the Apollo Project sent to other possible intellectual creatures in outer space. It is played on a satellite that is leaving the solar system

  • Thats awesome!

  • I've heard this song as Chinese folk song. Are the costumes and gils Tibetans?

  • The song is written by Fang Keije and the name is Tibet Dance... But this is some kinde of remake

  • what song is this?

  • Some cultures down the border of northeast India, Burma, Thailand etc have tribal groups that share Tibetan and neighboring cultures. I am guessing this is either a true or a Chinese representation of one such culture

  • Okay, I'm not saying that I love the Chinese government here, but I think it's extremely disrespectful to use this video to voice your political opinions. You should be mindful of the hard work these women put into choreographing and performing this dance. If you don't like it, no one's forcing you to watch it.

Sure it may not be completely reflective of Tibetan culture, but most interpretations aren't completely reflective of any culture. This is one little video on youtube so just let it go.

  • For God sake stop fooling people! This is not a Tibetan song or dance. This is chinese.Pls stop fooling the people visiting this site.

  • can someody explain me is it really a tibetan song OR a Chinese version song .Haha it made me laugh coz there is no such word LEO LEO in the song.If you have any better explanation i am waiting...

  • this is not real tibetan song or dance.

this song was written by Hans in the year 19XX. and don't expect the hans will play tibetan dance very seriously ^^

  • the real tibetan song and dance look here :

    /watch?v=blOf6NzeiLM&feature=related

  • It's Tibetan à la Chinoise!

  • omgg..how many times do i have to say this GET YOU TITLE RIGHT it's not TIBETAN dance..WE TIBETANS don't wear clothes like that or dance like THAT! and PLZZ STOP putting videos like this because this is NOT TIBETAN AT ALLL!! [this is what the chinese government it trying to do...CHANGING EVERYTHING ABOUT TIBET..our culture ..our clothing..dance and music because the chinese government wants PPL to think TIBET is like this and it ISN"T!!!] omg what with the songgg IT"S NOT TIBETAN>>IT"S CHINESEE

  • The clothings and dancing look so different than ones by Tibetans. Are they made up by Chinese?

  • you really should shut up

you don't know any shit about what the chinese government has to say

    its dancing

    god..

  • Im doin a Tibetan dance too! And it has those long sleeves like the ones in the video! But our music sounds a lot better.

  • It might be an imitation of the original Tibetan song but this does not sound Tibetan at all.

This is an example of cultural genocide through replacing the original with fake Chinese versions.

  • This is a folk song from Kang Ding area, where Hans, Qiangs and Kampa Tibetans live peacefully with each other. The song reflects influence from many cultural traditions.

  • It reminds me of a show i saw a yr ago.. i started to love tibetan music! too pity i don't know the song's name...

  • Must be another of those cheap Chinese folklore imitation things in the name of the original.

The music, singing, dancing and costumes, well!

  • They are actually dancing to a Mongolian music tone.

  • No they are not dancing to a Mongolian music tone for I am fluent in Mongilian, written as well as spoken and this is not Mongolian. The rythm and melody of the music is not Mongolian either.

  • its a sichuan(province next to tibet) song.famous song called kangding qing ge..yep nothing tibetan about it..but still at least its frm a region close to tibet

  • nothing about this is tibetan. it is just a terrible pantomime, from the dance moves to the costumes.

  • fine songs an dances, if Chinese or Tibetan... for the artistic prestation, it is not at all important I think; Chauvinistics remarks are here at the wrong place. Be happy that you do not gett all the US-american democratic trash with lowest level as possible, like in the destroyed an week Europe: destroyed on moral, spirit, economy and ethnic...

  • For you whether it sounds Tibetan or Chinese is not an issue because you don't understand the pain and anguish of an occupied people.

But for us Tibetans who are trying to fight extinction from the relentless onslught from China, this is a life and death issue.

May be your comment don't belong here.

  • my dear friend, I exactly understand what your concern is... it would be good if you would first read exactly what i have written...and judge after.

  • Hi sjokolade147 ,

In your heart of hearts, how would you call yourself? Your identity I mean.

Do you carry a passport that matches your identity at heart?

I would give anything to be able to carry a passport that says I am "Tibetan". But I can't because due to China's invasion of our homeland, we R now forced to carry a passport saying "Chinese", the last thing I would want to call myself.

  • sjokolade147

This is continuation of my comment above.

The problem of US cultural and ideological domination of Europe and the Tibetan problem are not similar.

Ours is more visceral and more desperate.

As your and our problem are from a completely different league, there is not point arguing I guess.

Anyway, wish you happiness and goodbye

  • My friend, I do agree with you in some aspects. I don't like American-Chinese food but I don't hate them for not being authentic. So don't get so political. BTW, these people are not professional but their intention is good which is to promote Tibetan culture or at least they trying.

  • "My friend" I am not saying I hate them. What I am saying is that the music and the dance is not Tibetan and that I don't want it to be mistaken for the real Tibetan song and dance.

I doubt if they are trying to promote Tibetan culture. It is as if this group is trying to kill the real Tibetan culture by showing something else as a Tibetan culutre.

  • Very nice one

  • d music is chinese song but d dance is tibet dance.

  • its chinese not tibetan no way

  • Why does that sound more like Chinese than Tibetan?

  • ya..i agree with u..sounds more chinese

  • It sucks, what the hell is this????????? I bet those girls hate their jobs!

  • Exactly. I am sure they hate thier jobs. Who would not if you are forced to be doing a Tibetan dance to the melody of phony song...although the words sometimes are Tibetan, everthing else is so Chinese...disgusting, extremely disgusting
